Not yet he isn't, but he may well turn out to be a quality wide attacker who is capable of doing a good job in a more central attacking role when required.

Whilst lacking in the sort of blistering pace that Aubameyang has, then again very few in the game today have that sort of pace, I could see him eventually developing into a similar player in terms of being able to do the job out wide or up front.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He'll probably be played at right back.

derek only signed for us because he wanted to be coached by brendan

The Reds beat Arsenal to the Belgian's signature last summer, signing him for £10m from Lille before immediately sending him back on loan to the Ligue 1 club.

The 20-year-old will finally move to Anfield at the end of the season in a welcome boost to Rodgers' forward line after a disappointing campaign.

And Origi is hoping the Northern Irish manager can help him develop in a similar way to Raheem Sterling and Jordon Ibe.

"To see the players develop and play in a top league in such a young team, for me it's very exciting," Origi said.

"When you see how the coach and the staff work with the young players - how Sterling, for example, has learned over the years and how Ibe is now integrating with the team, it is very interesting. It is very nice to have seen that this season.

"The manager is one of the reasons I came to Liverpool - he's someone who has proven he knows how to work with young players, knows how to develop young players and also lets them play.

"For me, it's about giving 100 per cent every time on the field and I think the rest will come. I will just try to learn and I am sure everything will be OK."

Liverpool had kept tabs on Origi since he was 15 so there was always a fair chance he'd join if they liked what they saw.

I think he'll be very good for us.

Whether he has had a good or bad season this year doesn't really matter, if he comes in next year he has to be an improvement on what we've seen from Balotelli this season, admittedly that is setting the bar very low, but still it's what he'll be compared to
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He'll have a fresh start with us, and he's been desperate to get here for a while.

Only ever seen him during the World Cup last year, and I certainly don't expect him to come in and average a goal a game, but I'm really looking forward to his arrival.

He only says one of the reasons not the reason...

That said, how can that not be a positive thing? That some of the better talent in Europe wants to come here because he believes in the manager? Would be wastly prefered to the opposite, or maybe it's just my world view that's upside down here?

It's brilliant if Rodgers can be an asset in attracting talent by showing that he's helped develop Sterling, Can, Suarez, Sturridge, (Ibe?) and others in to better playeres, that are attractive to Europe's best clubs.

I like hearing that from Origi. Can't wait to have him here, was pulling my hair out for us not spending the £6m getting him in in January. Anyway, quietly excited about his progress as I had been of Ibe's since last October.

Could we see Origi as Sterling's replacement perhaps? Very quick, good skills and comfortable both out wide and in the middle

I think of Origi as essentially Sturridge lite and I wouldn't necessarily expect him to play too much Prem football unless Studge gets injured again...oh wait!
