Very lively cameo. That run down the wing and cross was good and could have scored earlier. Got a feeling we may go rotation mad in one of the upcoming away games so will surely get some minutes again somewhere.

I'd be amazed if he didn't replace either Mo or Bobby on Wednesday

Hope he gets some minutes. Loved his run and cross in the game. Could be just what we need when resting Bobby. Sturridge is not suitable cover for a whole game.

He's really tenacious and has all manner of goals in his locker

Wouldn't surprise me. Think we changed quite a lot at a similar time last year away to Stoke didn't we? It's gonna have to happen at some point, a hapless Burnley side looks the best bet.

Seems he's got a point to prove all the time at our club and as long as something spurs him on that's fine with me

watching it back, he was the only one to follow the ball in, got close enough to pickford to give him something to think about and knock his concentration, then readjust when it hit the crossbar the second time

Is Solanke still injured or has Derek gone ahead of him?

I assume Origi is ahead of him as it's only a couple of weeks since Solanke scored that backheal chip for England U21s, I don't think he's got injured since then

He picked up a groin problem in training which is why he didn't travel to Paris.

centrally I reckon Solanke is ahead of him, but Origi being able to cover the flanks gives him the edge to make the bench more often.

Firmino, Sturridge, Solanke, Origi is probably the biggest weakness in the squad especially with Bobbys form.

Talk of leaving a pathway for Brewster/Wilson, cant see anyone coming in above them.

Don't really fancy any of the alternatives to Firmino, it's the one big gap we had to leave unfilled in the summer.

I think ahead of next season I'd dispense with Sturridge, Solanke and Origi, and go for a quality CF who makes runs in behind. Would push Bobby on and offer a tactical alternative whilst leaving the door still open for younger players who actually have a chance of making it with us.

Andreas Belotti and Timo Werner are the only two strikers that come to mind. David Brooks looks like he could step up.

Our first goal was a great goal. We must have strung out around 20/30 passes before we scored.

Should we keep him this summer?

I think we should, he's strong, scores goals and offers something when Firmino is injured.

He has a year left on his contract, I guess it depends on what he wants to do, if anyone makes a good offer and who we might bring in. If he could get back to where he was a couple of years ago before his injury he would be a great squad option.

Sturridge will be on his way in the summer, aside from the regular front 3 there is only him and Shaqiri that have experience there, Brewster is an option but is untested at present, even if we sign someone else I think he's a decent option for another season.

Rose tinted analysis given in the warm afterglow of the lad scoring in a 5-0 win. In the cold light of day he isn’t really good enough. I’m sure Klopp and Edwards have their eyes on upgrades to Sturridge and Div and rightly so.

got a lot of grief in the ground, thought he done well, always showing for the ball, willing to take a risk, worked hard

dont think you can ask much more for a lad who's barely played all year

I thought he was handy. Offers more than Sturridge because he has a bit of pace. I'd love if he came on and scored a goal v Everton again at the weekend....... although not a 96th minute winner please - I'm hoping the game as a contest is over by HT!!!

But I'd still sell Derek in the summer. Well probably get 10 to 15m for him. Unless it's Bournemouth obviously, then it's more like 33m with 25% of any future sale.

Werner and Brewster to take divok and Daniels places in the squad

He was excellent for about 6 weeks before he got injured in 2016.

But he needed a run to find that form which he wonít get in irdinary circumstances.

We need better, someone to really give one of the front three something to think about.

Basically another Suarez
