Bittersweet day for me when Hearts lost it. Simultaneously Kenny scored at Stamford Bridge to win LFC the League as Albert Kidd was making a name for himself at Dens Park.

I watched most of it actually.
They played quite well
Ejaria and particularly Kent played well.
Stevies biggest issue so far imho is that the League is there for the taking, yet he seems to be getting all his results in the Europa which they have no chance of winning.
Should be a cracker on Sunday at Ibrox and a big test of Hearts credentials, but with the 5 point lead I reckon a draw is decent for Hearts.

Yeah, I don't think I'll ever be over confident as a Hearts supporter and Scotland fan. Rangers playing well tbf.
I've been watching it on a stream. hearts are really going for it and are wide open on the counter. The stream must be from Rangers as the commentary is totally partizan.
Even with a defeat still 2 points clear at the top.
Onwards and upwards

Godrrard has Rangers playing some astonishing stuff at home. Just got to transfer it to the aways and they'll piss the league.

First goal looked a mile offside on the highlights.

Then the week after they were beaten 3-0 In the Scottish Cup Final. Must have been one hell of a depressing end to a season that one. Never really occurred to me until years later, when I was a kid I just thought Hearts should have been happy for coming close

Yep. Going in to the final day 2 points ahead and a 6 goal swing required for Celtic to win it. Celtic were 4 nil up at HT and Hearts (unbeaten since the previous September) were nil nil with ten mins to go and one hand on the trophy.
Enter Albert Kidd.
A devastating way to lose the League.

I prefer Klopps style of management to Stevies.
The carrot and stick method will only get you so far. He is clearly disappointed to have lost in the semi final, but I am not sure what he gains out of saying that in public. WIll go down well (I'd imagine) with the supporters, but the team have in the main been performing for him.
Incidentally I have scored a ticket for the Edinburgh derby tomorrow night. Hearts have loads of players missing through injury so will be interesting to see how that plays out in the Derby.

They're the league's top scorers, seems a little odd.

Was directly related to bombing in the semi final, but yeah, not sure what he intends to get out of this approach.
Klopp really is the master of man management, and in particular what to say to the press and what to keep in house.
He isnt affrraid of getting rid of dominant characters (see Sakho) but in the main has everyone fighting for him.
Stevies approach here is old school, and ultimately I suspect is the way he will be most comfortable managing.

I sympathise with him to an extent.
But, he DOES bring a lot of it on himself, exactly as he did as a player. He has always modelled himself as a controversial character.
He did goad the crowd when the last minute goal was disallowed which would get a reaction no matter which manager did it and no matter where they were playing.
To me this is him doubling down to distract from his own behaviour.
It’s deploarable, what happens to him, but he could manage himself a bit better.

With regards to the comments on sectarianism, then he is correct, at least within football (which is obviously where he is operating), and I do sympathise with him. I don't hear it day to day, but you do hear it a bit at the football. A lot of it is passed down from generation and I would say with the chants having been around for a long time.
There was one rendition of the 'Hallo, hallo, we are the Gorgie boys' which used contain the line 'up to our knees with Fenian blood', but it petered out before that.
In general Lennon does make himself a target, but you cant defend the things that happen to him.

Mainly the referees. Rangers getting some retro SPL decisions last weekend.
That said they are clocking up a monumental amount of red cards.

Morelos sent off. AGAIN. He’s a fucking animal. 3 reds for him this season and 8 for the club is a disgrace.
They are sponsored by 32 red, which is sounding like challenge accepted.

Stevie goes full-Mourinho.
Quote:
Steven Gerrard says he now "knows the players he can trust" after his much-changed Rangers side's 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw with 10-man Dundee.
The Ibrox boss made six changes to the side that lost to Aberdeen in midweek knowing a win would take his side level with Celtic at the summit.
But they fell behind to a Kenny Miller goal and, although Andy Halliday levelled after Nathan Ralph was sent off, Rangers could not find a winner.
"It won't happen again," said Gerrard.
"It is a reality check today that we are not good enough to make six changes. When you are given a chance, go and perform, give me a problem and a headache.
"It should make my job a lot easier because there will be less knocks at the door because, if players are honest with themselves and watch that performance back, I don't think they have a leg to stand on."
Rangers now go in to a crucial Europa League meeting with Rapid Vienna in Austria knowing they must win to advance to the knockout stages.
Striker Alfredo Morelos will be available again after missing the trip to Dens through suspension and Gerrard has warned his players they must improve after taking one point from six in the Premiership.
"I'll try to pick players that I trust, with character and personality who can handle the occasion," the Rangers boss told Sky Sports.
"People got a run-out today, a test, and failed miserably. So we'll try to pick a team who are capable of getting the right result on Thursday, but it has to be a level up from the last two performances."

Leigh Griffiths taking time out of football due to personal reasons.
Any ideas on what this might be? Seems like it’s mental health related?
