Can't argue with that though. Fulham need to acclimatise themselves to the Premier league again pronto or this is going to be a long season.

Interesting formation from Arsenal. Tierney tucking in as an extra central defender when they defend and ends up very high up at times when attacking. They seem like a team transformed, very sound in defence and in attack now.

Fucking hell, John Moss just overturned a red card after reviewing the sideline VAR monitor. Fair play and the correct decision.

Also to be fair, the initial tackle did look dangerous.

The Marsaille player who made the shithouse move through the back of Neymar then went down clutching his throat needs his legs breaking.

The game doesn't need players like him on the pitch.

And as for the Marasaille player that went down like he'd been shot from a little shove. What a fucking wimp

Newmarket is such a coward. Secret punch to the back of the head and then in the safety afterwards saying he wishes he'd punched him in the face. Worra shithouse

Feel sorry for him, but so typical.

Werner's acceleration reminds me of Torres although seems to have a better top speed.

I remember there being a discussion about should he come on for us last game last season, etc, as it would be a nice way for him to say goodbye.. the counter argument was that if he injured himself hed not find a new club very easily.

So I guess if he wants to look at the glass half full, its good that it happened half an hour after the start of this season, as opposed to half an hour before the end of last season, or hed be on the food stamps now..

I didn't realise that there was going to be a third tier European competition starting next year with this years league cup winner qualifying for it.

Man, it's already hard to get interested in the UEFA Cup, what is the point of another competition, apart from allowing more teams to have European adventures

While I guess it is good for the teams in the smaller leagues in Europe surely it will be dominated by the English league cup winners or team that finishes 6th/7th in the PL or the teams finishing 6th in the German, Italian or Spanish leagues (assuming that they take it seriously), it will be played on the same night as the Europa league so unless your team is involved you won't give a shit. It seems completely pointless to me.

It seems that this has been coming for a while, they've been badly mismanaged, you have to feel sorry for the fans, sad to see this happen to any club. While this isn't directly related to the Covid-19 situation, you imagine that could push a number of other clubs in a similar direction.

I think it could be quite good fun. Lot of teams people dont hear from much. Plus it gives others something to do that want it.

Easy for us to say ‘that sounds shite’, but there are a lot of loyal fans of clubs who don’t get much to cheer about and for them to get trips abroad etc (once we can do that sort of thing again) will be amazing for them.
