Not that people shouldn't donate to food banks, but the pay per view thing has been ditched and this game is on Sky Sports and included as part of normal subscription.

Chris Kavanagh is the ref. Coote was due to be VAR but he's been dropped for Andre Marinner.

Big game this one - would be a statement to win it without most/all of our back four, our talisman up front and our shiny new midfield signing
Leicester have a few injury problems of their own too though, so are there to be got at
3-1 (Jota x3)

Will be a tough game given our depleted 1st team.
Leicester must be chomping.

Their backline is fairly depleted too Soyuncu, Pereira out & Castange has a hamstring issue. They are in a fairly similar predicament as we are, was always going to be a tough game.

It's going to be about who's back 4 is patched up best I think that and what our front 3 can do.
Alisson
Williams
Matip ?
Phillips/Williams
Robbo
Gini
Keita
Hendo?
Jota
Bob
Mane

I have a feeling Koumetio might start. He’s a naturally left sided centre half and is highly rated at the club.

I think Amartey might be out for them too and Fofana possibly due to a knee issue

My guess:
Alisson
Milner
Matip
Phillips
Robbo
Gini
Keita
Hendo (Jones if Hendo isn't fit)
Jota
Bob
Mane
Not ideal but not that bad of a side really. I think Salah needed a rest at some point anyway, so that's a blessing in disguise.

Robbo desperately needs a rest. And I know Gini is an Ironman, but even he must be must be at risk of fatigue at some point.

Phillips v Vardy would be pretty terrifying.

My thoughts exactly, this will be much tougher then West Ham, they played to Phillips' strengths, this will be the opposite.

although any of them against Vardy is terrifying at the moment.
Hopefully they're thinking the same as us. Could be ugly though.

Agreed. Phillips and Matip is a good aerial partnership but not ideal for facing someone like Vardy

Williams' pace is decent isn't it? He'd probably be the better option of the two. Although whoever is playing I suspect Vardy will win a pen from...

Klopp confirms Salah misses the game and seems to be excusing his attendance at his brother's wedding.

I think Koumetio is way too raw. By far the least experienced of the limited options available.

Highly rated by Klopp though and a left sided centre half, with passing ability. Might be too raw but I don’t think we’ve got too many options to counter Vardy.

Thank God, that could have been a worse conference. At least Fab and Thiago aren't fully ruled out yet.

Agree he's the best match in terms of pace and power, I just doubt Klopp would chuck him straight in against Vardy who's one of the hardest forwards to play against in world football IMO.

I doubt Fabinho will play. He’s not started full training as far as I know and is completing rehab.

God I can't wait to see Thiago play again but Fabinho is even more important to have back for this one. Praying he makes it!

Ridiculous that some people have got their Christmas trees up and Thiago still hasn't fucking played at Anfield.

Sensing there's a real siege mentality in the squad ahead of this one. I think we'll be really up for proving a point here!

Leicester have got a makeshift backline, much as ours and we're playing at home. A win for me. If we can't get it, not the end of the world as well.
