oh, also - interestingly, my dad said the barca fan/s have about as much interest in spanish side as we do with England.
Hence, they met up and were discussing going to watch the England vs Spain game in a bar, when my dad checked fixtures on his phone for kick off etc, they realised Barca B were playing at home so opted for that instead.
Dad loved it, apparently it was a good game - barca had a lad up front called rodrique or something who scored, he stood out from the first minute and was the best player on the pitchi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Hasn't that got to do with the fact that they see themselves more as Basques then Spanish?Originally posted by PTP View Post

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

My error. Though am I correct in saying that they do tend to distance themselves from Spain the same way that Scousers distance themselves from England?Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostBarcalona is Catalan mate."That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
