we all know this of course, just thought i'd share it as was a unbiased few from a Barca/Spanish perspective
I think even England fans gave their verdict on that, They can't all have been Liverpool fans booing him at Wembley on Saturday

      true

oh, also - interestingly, my dad said the barca fan/s have about as much interest in spanish side as we do with England.

Hence, they met up and were discussing going to watch the England vs Spain game in a bar, when my dad checked fixtures on his phone for kick off etc, they realised Barca B were playing at home so opted for that instead.

Dad loved it, apparently it was a good game - barca had a lad up front called rodrique or something who scored, he stood out from the first minute and was the best player on the pitch
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

?? don't know - my dad said it was something like rodrigo, rodriguez, rodricko - think he scored twice and was subbed off at 2-0 too a standing ovation after about 70 mins, than barca b started to sit back and got a bit panicky.

Hasn't that got to do with the fact that they see themselves more as Basques then Spanish?
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

My error. Though am I correct in saying that they do tend to distance themselves from Spain the same way that Scousers distance themselves from England?

                                Or a horse.
                                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
