hopefully they high tackle each other and the VAR can show us some slo-mo eviscerations and red cards.

My thoughts exactly. Whilst creating a buffer better the fourth placed team would be nice, keeping second on touching distance is far more important. Besides, we have the opportunity to put spurs in their place on SundayOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostWhile sealing top 4 is the most important, and 2nd / 3rd / 4th is a much of a muchness, I still want us to finish 2nd and above those Manc *******s. Determined to keep looking upwards and not over our shoulders. I think we're the 2nd best side in the league, clearly, so let's ****ing underline it.

No chance, never a utd win. Draw or spurs win. Will throw utd right back into contention for fifth place. But if utd were to win I could live with it considering they'd STILL be doing us a favour.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostBest result is a United win.
Can you want that though? I'd take a draw

For our development, the priority is to get into the Champions League places again. Ensuring the gap between us and Spurs widens is the main thing, and if that means Man Utd winning tonight, then so be it.
Second place would be a bonus, but given our squad, and everyone else strengthening, it should be a secondary objective.

Safety first, which is why i'll settle for a Manc win tonight. Let Spurs languish in fifth or sixth and let Real/Barca bend them over in the summer.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostFor our development, the priority is to get into the Champions League places again. That'll be the big manager's job this summer, surely Zidane can't survive unless he wins the CL (and that hasn't stopped them in the past - del Bosque). And if Pochettino goes there's a chance he'll want to work with one of his players as he did when Coutinho left Inter.
That said, Levy is shrewd enough to put one of those clauses in the contract meaning he can't sign a player in the first year or whatever.

you can see Poch at Madrid and spurs could easily be in for a tough few seasons if they dont get CL, They don't pay big wages and some of there top players could easily move on,
United will keep throwing money at it till they get it right. Would be nice to get back to a top 4 without a struggle again dismissing Spurs and Arsenal._____________________________________

Poch is a good manager so I really hope he ****s off. With their wage structure, and the best manager they could possibly get ****ing off, you'd have to think they'd nosedive. Maybe a player exodus too, with the likes of Alderweireld, maybe Alli and others (on very low wages for their level) all possible departures.
Despite our recent issues we're clearly on an upward curve imo. Getting rid of Spurs and Arsenal would be very welcome. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Draw best tomorrow night imo, but really it's a no lose for us. A United win leaves us 5 ahead of Spurs, playing them on Sunday with a chance to go 8 clear and they play Arsenal next just a few days before Juve away in the CL. Beat them and top 4 is more or less in the bag.
Even if Spurs win, we're still 2 ahead with a chance to go 5 clear on Sunday and be just 3 behind the Mancs at worst, and a chance to look upwards and aim for 2nd.
Think the team for Sunday picks itself.
