Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I know what you mean. But even Rafa's first season was grim, talking solely in league terms. 5th was flattering for a points tally that would usually place outside the top 7 and the football was often uninspiring and difficult to watch. The second season was a massive leap forward and shows how much things can improve after a difficult bedding in period. I've pretty much accepted that Rodgers first 18 months are going to be difficult, but I'm still confident that his conviction in his methods will ultimately pay off, as it did for Benitez.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI accept that. I know he took responsibility when one of his Swansea players ****ed up against United last season, and I liked that. It is hard not to feel disillusioned, you're right. It's very hard. I am disillusioned. Our results have been as bad as under Hodgson - it's *that* bad. The football is better, the plan is much better, he's signed better players. I'm not comparing him to Hodgson, but the results have been inescapably dismal. He deserves the rest of the season, the summer, and next season. I just don't have much confidence that it'll work out. I had faith in him at the start but it has eroded much quicker than I anticipated it might.

It would only make sense if we could get someone in for less money and younger that would offer more or less the same quality he does.
The side has lost more than enough quality over the past few seasons I'd be reticent to see another of them go at present especially due to where we are as a club presently
