Cech looks like a FIFA player where the game controller temporarily lost connection then caught up

I’ve never see Aubameyang play Centre Back before. It’s going to be interesting.

It's weird how no one has gone in for Aubameyang at that price. Man Utd, and Chelsea opted for different players. Man City miss out on Sanchez, but try to get Mahrez instead. Atletico Madrid re-signed Costa. We just didn't seem interested, and PSG can't afford him due to the purchases of Neymar and Mbappe. Real Madrid have been linked, but it never seemed solid, and AC Milan also expressed an interest, but they're still trying to get back to the top.

Really, I would've banked on City at least trying to get involved, but nope, nothing.

By all accounts hes a bit of a massive knob. So it must be putting people off. He also seems to be demanding pretty crazy wages.

Will be interesting to see if this helps them. Th real problem seems to be defence and Cech gone bad rather than attack. But they are getting some more pace for attack that's for certain.

TBH I think he would do very well alongside Firmino, Mane and Salah.

Firmino drifts into and attacks from very similar positions as Fekir did when Lacazette was at Lyon.

Yeah but he is a proven goal scorer in a top league and also in the CL.

Just looked at his stats for this season to date and the three seasons prior.

2014/15 - 46 games 25 goals
2015/16 - 49 games 39 goals
2016/17 - 46 games 40 goals
2017/18 - 24 games 21 goals

And that is in a team that has not exactly been doing anything great for a few seasons.

Am hoping though that Wenger continues his recent trend of making good attacking players look a bit meh.

Good deal for that really. Replacing Ozil would cost about £60m anyway in a fee alone.

Arsenal are desperate though and would have done anything to keep Ozil and show they world they are still a big team. Dangerous precedent set for them now on any incoming big players in term of wages.

Can't imagine us bowing to the release clause or offering Can shit loads more money to stay as we are not desperate ( well the club don;t think we are )

I actually think they might work well together. Lacazette alwats seems to want to come from deep and with another player genuinely looking to get at defense he might kick on. He looked really good in a few matches.

Alexandre Lacazette: Arsenal striker out for up to six weeks following knee surgery

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been ruled out for up to six weeks after having knee surgery on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old came off the bench and missed a couple of chances as the Gunners were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham in Saturday's north London derby.

Lacazette had the operation on Tuesday, which Arsenal described as "a success".

"He will now undergo a period of rehabilitation," Arsenal added in a statement. "It is envisaged he will return within four to six weeks."

It leaves the Gunners with Danny Welbeck as the only recognised senior striker for Thursday's Europa League last-32 tie with Ostersunds FK.

New signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not eligible to play in the competition.

Really - I thought he looked shite and a waste of money, hence the reason Wenger bought Aubameyang.
