Its not even a contest, Silva would win this no problem. I've been very dissapointed with GSP for a while now, he seems to make a meal out of most fights these days and Silva is just too unpredictable. Silva with a first round knockout for me.

I no what your saying there about gsp, since he got knocked out by Serra, he has been to cautious in his fights not willing to go for the kill but I like the way he adapts to each fighters style,
So I don't think silva would knock him out in the first round I recon it could go the distance IMO it's like when chael sonnet fought silva who I recon was about to take the belt of him until he got triangled at the death , now if he can nearly beat him with his wrestling style , I recon gsp game plan would be the same as that's where sivas weakness has been exposed, but if it was a striking match silva would put him to sleep so all in all silva to win but if it went the full 5 rounds I recon gsp would take it , but that's only if they could agree on a catch weight fight, if gsp does Diaz next there is no other opponents left for each of them , so could happen and probably a new years card fight here's hoping anyway.

Lesner v Overeem on December 30th. Should be a good fight. Scratch that, more likely to be a war.

Just found this online. Dave Graham, ex-army and Manchester fighter, is a bloke who went away with us last year golfing in Portugal. I knew he was a decent amateur footballer but didn't realise he was a fighter.

I got really wankered one night and fell asleep and the rumour has it that he teabagged me although it's not been confirmed

2nd video down on the left

Jon Jones is absolutely unreal. So unorthodox with his striking and if he continues to develop in this way he will become the best fighter in the ufc

Rashad Evans for Jones next, can see Evans going exactly the same way as Rampage though.

For those that have never watched UFC before its free tonight on Premier sports on SKY, give it a record if you have never seen it, hope that this doesn't lead to ESPN losing UFC fights though, as this statement suggests

Quote:
Over the past two years, ESPN has shown UFC main events & preliminary bouts for our viewers & fans of the sport. We have recently been informed that we are not able to continue to show some live UFC content on our channel. We & the UFC are working to find a solution to this as we understand your concerns. ESPN continues to televise UFC main events and provides coverage of UFC and mixed martial arts online at ESPN.co.uk & ESPN.com, & on TV via MMA Live.
Thanks for your patience.

UFC have reached agreement with Premier Sports UK and Setanta Sports Ireland to broadcast the forthcoming UFC live 6 card this Saturday night. Details below.
- Ė In the UK, Premier Sports UK will show the event free to air to all UK and Northern Irish homes on Channel number 433 on the BSKYB platform.
- Ė In Ireland Setanta Sports 1 will show the event free to air to all Republic of Ireland satellite homes on Channel number 424 on the BSKYB platform in Ireland. It is also available on Setanta Sport 1 on UPC cable channel 407.
Those with Virgin will have to watch the event live on UFC.Tv, which is free online.
Prelim fights on on the UFC Facebook page. Just 'like' the page, and click on Live Event.
The UFC deal with ESPN for numbered events continues until August 2012. There is no deal in place for UFC 'Live' events.

Silva will batter him sensless.

Won't make the mistakes he made in the first fight.

Can't wait to see it happening. Sonnen is a arsehat of the highest order.

I will be watching it but I suppose it will be like watching a championship football match without Gsp main eventing. Just hoping for some fireworks! Just realised that ultimate fighter is on FX this year too, so going to start watching that

why? his last few fights have hardly edge of the seat stuff. some of the best fight cards have looked 'weak' on paper

No your right, the thing with mma is that the nature of the sport makes it unpredictable, the reference was more as to the "bigger names" on the card, I'm a Gsp fan and was looking forward to watching him fight, so to me it's just similar to Suarez being taken out of the Liverpool line-up.

Dos Santos vs Valazquez for the heavyweight title is the first to be shown under the new deal with FOX in the states. Anyone know what channel this will be shown on in the UK?

"Premier Sports are delighted to announce our latest UFC offering. The massive heavyweight title fight featuring Velasquez vs. Dos Santos on Sunday 13th Nov, 2am will be live and free-view only on Sky channel 433"

The network has previously offered UFC events live and free to air, most recently the Bantamweight title fight between Dominick Cruz and Demetrius Johnson.

Premier Sports is not available on Virgin Media.

So excited for that fight.

What a fight between BJ Penn and Nick Diaz last night, Diaz completely destroyed BJ in the stand up in the 2nd and 3rd rounds

I was very impressed with Diaz, I must admit I've never been a solid Strikeforce watcher but I was aware of what Diaz could do, but my opinion before the fight was BJ would be too much for him

Does anyone else thing that with the induction of several Strikeforce fighters, who have become known to have more stand-up fights may lead to the UFC being a little more stand-up based rather than a lot of ground fighting?

I think the UFC will carry on as always, as much as some of the new strikeforce fighters are good at Stand up, they've got equally as good a ground game so i can't see there being a big change

Another pretty shite event ... Terry Ethim was impressive .. and Chris Lebmen continues to morph into Satans brother what colour is his skin ?? purple

Not a huge fan of these UFC Overloads on 1 event a week for a month .. delutes the specialness of it a little
