We were better team and could have scored a shit load. Hit the post to miss going 2-0 and that would have killed game.

It was obvious early on how we were gonna concede. Defence weren't totally comfortable playing out from back, so they were caught in possession for first goal. Really struggled from set-pieces (unsurprisingly), so conceded 2 that way.

I think the nativity of a young team that's barely played together will inevitably show in these games. Especially the first few. Should be good experience for them all though.

I was really impressed with his performance against Arsenal, hopefully another one that can push on and make some appearances for the first team.

He played the full 90 in the FA Cup win last night but no idea how he got on as there was no mention of him in the BBC match report

Something I didn't see coming as a youngster: Herbie Goes To Hell.

Give our take a vowel swap.

He did. Strange signing - he's 21, not in the Brentford team and he's signed for us?

Haven’t we done this before with the left back from Barcelona who was already 20 or something. Just a player to fill in the under-23 squad so we don’t overplay youngsters who aren’t ready. Plus isn’t Brewster going on loan?

Yeah with Glatzel injured and Brewster going on loan there's nobody eligible for the u23 striker place. Kinda like signing Kevin Stewart, Isaac Christie-Davies, Juanma, etc...

Who knows, he may have levels that only get revealed around better coaching and players?

Jack Bearne scores a beauty from 20+m and it’s 1-2 now.

Should have been a penalty to us from a corner then. Since when can you wrestle players to the ground?

Despite a great 2nd half we go down 2-1. Plenty of chances to draw level but it’s not to be.

This team is 5-0 up at the moment. Elliott has got one, that new lad Joe Hardy has got 2, and Curtis Jones has curled another into the top corner

I've been watching it. Complete and utter domination from start to finish. Could've been a lot more tbh.

Really impressed with Chirivella (again).
