Spurs have the first option to buy him when he leaves apparently, that'll hack off Ed Woodward. When Spurs move they'll be coining it.

Gareth Bale’s agent has called for an investigation after a confidential document relating to his client’s world record £85m move to Real Madrid from Tottenham was leaked.
The six-page document, released by the website Football Leaks and widely published in Spain, set out details of the full value of the deal, which has always been disputed.
Real have long claimed they paid €91m (£78m) for Bale in 2013 – less than the €96m they paid for Cristiano Ronaldo four years earlier. However, the Spanish newspaper AS reported that the document showed the Bale fee amounted to €100,759,418 (£85m) – because Real had opted to pay in instalments – with Tottenham forbidden from disclosing any financial details.
It is widely thought that Real’s insistence that Ronaldo was the more expensive of the two players was designed to appease the Portugal forward. Earlier this month the journalist Jonathan Northcroft told the BBC he was asked by Real not to mention the subject when he interviewed Bale, “because Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t like to see that someone else cost more than him”.
In October 2013 the Real president, Florentino Pérez, implied that Ronaldo’s fee was higher. Asked by the Spanish TV show Punto Pelota on the channel Intereconomia whether Bale had been insured for €91m, he replied: “Yes, of course.”
Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, called the reports “outrageous”, telling the Telegraph: “There should be an inquiry and an independent investigation … I think it’s disgraceful that people can get hold of this sort of stuff. It shows complete disregard for both clubs and the player.”

So Ronaldo is a tiny penised egotistical piece of smegma. I don't feel like I have learned anything new.

He'll have to take his transfer record certificate down from his museum.

Brilliant trolling by him. They've been openly crappy to him and he's winding them up back.

As you can imagine it hasn't gone down well...
https://www.theguardian.com/football...are-not-amused
“Bale will never be a legend at Real Madrid,” wrote Rubén Jiménez in Marca on Wednesday, merely the most pointed of a lot of voices, speaking for many – and that point is a pity, given what he has won. His legacy is indeed effected.
“Yet again, and we have lost count now, Bale has disrespected Madrid and their fans,” Marca continued. “He mocked the institution with a flag that makes it clear that the last of his priorities is the club that pays him (and not a small amount). And then he will act all surprised when the Bernabéu whistles him. And then his agent, Jonathan Barnett, will come along and ask the fans to kiss his feet. Yes, this is the guy who scored at Mestalla, but it’s also the guy who doesn’t watch his teammates play because he prefers golf. This is the slow agony of a candle dying out, and all that is left is resentment. Real Madrid have taken too long to cut him loose.”

To be honest, imagine the reaction on here and elsewhere if one of our players did that. Particularly if they were highly paid and on the periphery of the first team.

Exactly, if Salah did something like that, this place would go nuts and give Lovren dogs abuse.

Not sure to be honest. If Liverpool were openly trying to make a player leave, to the extent that the manager comes out and says he doesn't fit and needs to go, the player himself has agreed terms with another club only for the chairman to decide to change the terms of the agreement in a cash-grab move, the player also knows neither the club nor fans want him so feels no reason for loyalty...i dunno, I think the reaction on here would be a little less vitriolic?

We don't know what's gone on, but I can confidently say neither Bale nor Real Madrid come out of this mess with any credit. They've both behaved terribly.

He's going the same way as Tevez, it looks all about the money. At what stage does a player say 'that's it, my next move is all about my legacy to the game'? He could absolutely sign for whoever he wants if his pay demands were around £200k a week and would have a huge impact in the PL. Let's face it, he's hardly remembered for doing anything in the PL, it'd be odd if he finished his career and didn't make an impact

I don't. You've got to look at why the relationship broke down, it wasn't simply a case of Madrid deciding one morning to try and get rid of a committed player. Fans will always back their club in such situations, and our fans would be no different.

Real fans are precious though.
They win trophies every year and literally cry like babies when they don’t. They need a 5-10 year run with fuck all to earn any respect from me.

Exactly. I think he's being a complete knob. Rubbing that in the noses of all madrid fans, very poor.
