Thierry Henry, and I can't believe there have been more votes for him!

Superb footballer, like a slightly less talented Torres

Oh a favourite with no LFC connection, is that it?

In which case it's Gary Speed - a true pro

Neither. Wenger threw some pizza into his autobiography. Presumably as some kind of freebie/flyer!

He's a very good player and getting better all the time. Just the right amount of arrogance aswell - The "Owen" types (cliched/respectful/non-commital/neutral/humble etc) bore me shitless.

Great choices.....

Zola seemed to be such a nice guy.......would have loved if he was at LFC.

For some reason, I don't like Messi as much as I did 10 years ago!!!

When I was young mine were always Hoddle, Gascoigne...Spurs connection a coincidence, just loved watching them play. Can't say I have a favourite non Liverpool player now. I've lost interest in a lot of football that isn't LFC. I used to watch everything but I don't really give a shit any more.

Same, I cant even sit through the highlights on the other games on MotD anymore.

Players from other teams I like tends to basically mean players I'd like us to sign, so Mbappe, Son, Sancho

I fucking hate Neymar, even though I consider him to be a great player. I'd never want us to sign or be associated with a player like him.

I'd love to have seen peak Suarez or Torres in our front three.

Past players - Ronaldo (real, Brazilian one), Ljungberg, P Maldini
Present - don't really have time for footy outside of us, with family commitments now, but I do like what I see of Vardy under Brendan.

It is the story of Vardy as much as anything...... i think players who seemed to have missed the boat and then develop a little later - they seem more likeable. Possibly because they don't have people blowing smoke up their arse from the age of 15 to 20. Especially if they have had to go and get a job in the real world before making it as a footballer.

I think Ian Wright was like that. Our own Andy Robbo is too.

I started to really get into football when I was around 8 or 9.......and Italia '90 was a big catalyst at the time.

Past players I used to love watching:

Hagi
Roberto Baggio
Lothar Matthaus
Gazza
Ronaldo
Roberto Carlos
Cafu
Maldini
Zidane
Iniesta
Roy Keane
Henry
Zola

Hoddle for me too as a past player. Always seemed to make the game seem effortless, played 10 which I did as a kid and had a wand of a foot for passing and scoring free-kicks and distance. Ultimate player when I was growing up... his vision was unreal to pick out little Micky Hazard or Steve Archibald...

More recently, I always liked how Shearer was a prolific scorer and yet subtely snide as fuck with his behaviour/tackles/elbows... he could give it out. Also scored a belter on my first trip to Anfield in a 2-1 win against Blackburn (when they were in their pomp)

Dennis Bergkamp, Matt Le Tissier, Jurgen Klinsmann, Les Ferdinand and Paul McGrath.

Crazy to think that when Klinsmann signed for Spurs, Klopp was in his late twenties!

I was at Klinsmann's Spurs debut, when he scored and did that dive celebration. He was a great player. That Spurs side seemed so exotic - Dumitrescu et al.

I always liked tough gnarly centre backs and growing up in the 90s/00s it was Paulo Montero and Walter Samuel that I liked. Clarence Seedorf is also a player that never seemed to get the acknowledgement he deserved but he was also superb.

In terms of modern players - Gimenez at Atletico, Alaba at Bayern and Dybala at Juve I like the look of Sancho, Havertz and Tomori
