You'd think they'd be really up for it.

It's pretty much all they have to play for now.

I think it will be a hard game, but equally the wins record on their patch would be so ridiculously poetic.

If we drop points there do we think it'll earn Ole a contract extension? Silver linings.

Solskjaer record so far as a permanent manager in PL:

At Cardiff:
3 wins in 17 games.

At United:
4 wins in 17 games

Total:
7 wins in 34 games or 20% win rate.

This is Remi Garde, Dave Bassett, Steve Wigley, Chris Hutchings, Billy Davies, Alan Shearer and Slavisa Jokanovic territory now.

Just realised that if we beat these, we'll have three times as many points as them.

Glorious.

After our game at Old Trafford, United have three away games on the trot in the league They could be in a relegation scrap by the next international break

I don't want them relegated.

Well I do but that might just mean that the Glazers cashed in their chips and sold to someone who didn't take gazzilions of £'s out of the club each year. That wouldn't be good.

So I'd prefer for them just to flounder near the bottom; a shadow of their former selves, not able to challenge for trophies nor attract players of any quality.

Although I did have a proper LOL driving to work this morning, listening to an OT season ticket holder (or so he claimed) saying he'd happily have Fat Sam replace Ollie, presumably to stave off the threat of relegation.

I think you're overthinking it. I mean it's never going to happen, but if it didn't United being relegated would be one of the greatest moments of my lifetime

Everton, now there's a team with an outside chance of making the drop this season!

Ouch. I wouldn't bother. It's enough of an ordeal sitting in the away end at that cesspit.

Is there still big trouble at the aways there?

Been almost 20 years since I last went there and there was bottles and bricks raining down on us as we entered the away end.

Mounted police did nothing except herd us together which made us easier targets

Vowed I wouldnt go back there

Yeah I've done it too years ago. I'd rather just watch it on the TV to be honest.

I haven't been there for about 5 years, and it wasn't as bad as you describe, but still very hostile, absolute dogs abuse from the 'family stand' to our left, and have to run the gauntlet of the welcoming committee waiting for us when they let us out. It's horrible. I have a 100% loss record there also.

To echo the rest of the comments... no, no way

Been twice before in the away end it was torture, a horrible experience being surrounded by such twats especially if we're gonna smash them...

’A quagmire of mediocrity'

This was a real quote, from a United staff member, to sum up what they thought of the current situation.

Solskjaer, it was stressed, was not to blame for this. It was just what the speaker felt was an honest assessment of the club's squad at the present time.
It’s a good read...

Both would be stuck for years. Nobody would join the mancs to play Championship football. Their current players could not cope with the physicality of the Championship

Haha. They wouldn't have to compete with us, they'd just need to get promoted. I think the Mancs would be able to attract players more than capable of that. FFS Villa and Newcastle managed it, I think they'd be alright.
