He has form for this.

Need to sell him. If Mbappe leaves PSG this summer, then it's possible that PSG would give us handy cash for Sadio. One bad apple can spoil the whole thing.

Bit black and white for you here i think. Yes it was dumb but think he needs bit of support given the year everyone's having.

Always seems v humble guy to me. Certainly not a bad apple.

I'm choosing to file this one next to your "VVD back by February" prediction.

Really disappointed in Mane, after such a great result, the team comes first. Agree that it doesnt have to be a big deal, but it's not professional and there always seems to be something with him and Salah.

This one is a fact not a prediction. We’re not in for Mbappé just because we’re never gonna pay ridiculous money for a player.

Unless he takes a pay cut etc etc

Christ lads we are over playing this - Mane is an elite top end athlete. You don’t get there without having a killer instinct which means he thinks he’s the best and expects to play at all costs. This was a huge game for us and he was not picked so he is pissed off and rightly so. I have no issues with him being angry and even acting petulant towards Klopp. What this means is that he’ll want to prove himself and show that he deserves to start - all good for me

Frank did not say WE would get Mbappe if he leaves PSG in the future. His post reads if PSG sell Mbappe this summer then they would have the cash to buy Mane.

Mountain out of a molehill for me. He's unhappy with not starting and showed it, I don't really mind he's not been playing well and he knows it. Imgaine he's frustrated with the situation he's in but it's due to him not playing well and based on the result last night JK made the right call.

Up to him to change it around.

Definitely. Better that he's completely fucked off, than that he is walking off celebrating and chest bumping. With the other 3 all grabbing goals he should be raging. It means next time he plays he feeds from that anger.

Yep, he nabs a few goals or assists in the coming games and suddenly there is no "story" to feed.

Klopp's decision was entirely justified, as Jota scored a terrific goal.

Mane can be rightly annoyed though, he'd scored in the last game.

Given that he scored in the last game I can understand why he was frustrated but lets be honest he was long over due dropping or being rested.

He must know that his performances have been sub-par for a while and I suspect he is as frustrated with himself as he is with Klopp. Let's hope he reacts the right way and gets some goals in the last 3 games that will fire us into the top 4.

He really is an impressive man. So often he just avoids boring cliches and cuts to the heart of things in a manner that is both brutally honest and conversation ending.

Definitely

The amount of times he speaks and it’s feels really profound is massive. And it is his lack of engaging with bullshit. He cuts straight through agenda and narrative to get exactly to the heart of the point that is being made.

Always 5 steps ahead.

I’ll bet he is awesome at chess.

Last night I was really annoyed with Sadio- like couldn’t get what his problem is, given how justified the decision to drop him is, and how it proved to be the right decision... but in the light of day, he’s prob just pissed off in general. Everything’s going against him right now. The biggest game left in our season and he’s the one that has to make way- he’s used to being one of the best players in the world. And while I’m sure he’s happy that we got the 3 points, it must be tough when ya see the other 3 players competing for your place in the team, all scoring. Then he comes on, his first touch, he ends up on his arse, and then a few min later he misses a great chance, through one on one.

Yes, he was definitely out of order, and I hope he apologizes to klopp and doesn’t put him in that position again... but I’d rather he has that pissed off attitude than be like Origi- he’d look at the starting line up and say “sweeeet, I’ve the night off again, I’ll put my feet up here”

Nah.....sell the fucker. Ha ha.

In reality though, if Jurgen is going to come out and says "yes he was a prick and i will deal with him in the summer" then a load of clubs are going to be thinking they could get a good deal on Mane. That kind of message would wipe 40% off his transfer value.

I think Jurgen will review everyone at the end of the season.......

In reality, Sadio has enough banked to be one of our main players next season. The guy might just need a holiday. But if his attitude is bad, then I would genuinely cut him loose.

I agree that if he has a bad attitude he should go, I’m just not sure whether he has a bad attitude. In a way I’m happy that he’s pissed off- any top player should be, in his form! Don’t think that’s automatically a bad attitude (might be). What made the incident with klopp bad was that it’s in front of the cameras, and then he has to go and answer questions about it. Players like lovren used be happy as Larry that the team won, regardless of the fact that he himself played shit. Klopp will tell him right, if ya think I was wrong to drop ya, go and prove me wrong on Sunday.

Whatever the reason his form has dropped off a cliff this season.

Be surprised if he plays midweek against Burnley.

Jota being injured means we have little choice.

It's strange, because tonight he did a lot of things that have worked for him previously but things didn't come off.

He regularly makes decisions that baffle me though, he plays like a fella with a lonely brain cell at times.

He's been awful this season but today wouldn't look so bad if it was in isolation.

I thought he was sharp. Down to him Salah scored as he kept moving and was alive to nick the ball back. Of course, not at his best, but I'd rather have him around than not.
