Caoimhín Kelleher

Think he deserves his own thread. The lad's doing surprising well. Looks composed and comfortable.

He's not been massively challenged, but has definitely done his job consistently well. Very encouraging.

Alisson is rarely massively challenged either but like him, Kelleher has been calm, decisive, and his positioning and passing have been excellent.

He's properly solid, and reliable. Good positioning, anticipation and decision making. That makes everything else easier.

Dealt with everything he's had to deal with so far without any fuss. And he's made some nice saves too.

Biggest thing for me is how confident he is claiming crosses, with the ball at his feet and coming off his line to command the area. He's made a few good saves as well. Adrian has looked a nervous wreck the last few times he's played and that doesn't help anyone.

He's calm, which makes all the difference. Alisson is the same. Calm as a cucumber. Adrian is not.

Yeah, really impressed by his temperament.

Looks totally composed. Positioning is good. Makes his saves. Gathers crosses. Much better with the ball. No way back for Aidy.

Calming Keller, calm as you like.

Good kicking, comfortable with either foot.

Yeah, his kicking has been good - can't remember too many times we lost possession from his kicks. Unlike Adrian who loves just booting the ball straight out of play when not even under pressure

Great to have a Cork man in the side. He's looked really assured in the last two games. Definitely solidified as our number two ahead of Adrian now.

Am I right in thinking he has kept clean sheets on his PL, CL, FA cup and League cup debuts? I have no idea about the history of that but that seems like it might be fairly rare.

Was it Villa in the League Cup last season when the first team was away at the WCC and he played and had a real stinker? He looked crap, but he's been so assured these last two games. Absolutely made up for him. Well in Quiveen.

I dont think he is. If he was ruthless then Adrian wouldn't have started against Villa. Or Everton.

The Villa game is the one for me. Letting in 7. I think that was the day Adrian must have known his time was up, the thing is work probably began then to prep Qweev as the next number 2. Get him right mentally for the next time AB gets injured.

His starting with 2 clean sheets, with good saves in both games suggests that the approach and lead in has been time well served. As ever coaching and management I’d bang on.

Though I’d give a penny for Adrians thoughts right now.

He probably still can't believe he got a transfer to Liverpool to be honest. He didn't do too badly out of it - 2 seasons, a load of medals and he can be that hero from the Euro Super Cup last year.

He needs to start thinking about what he will do next season. I don't think he will be in the premier league - unless it is as a back up to someone again.

Totally agree. He was staring down the barrel of the end of his career, going out with a whimper. And he is a bona fide Premier League winner who played a big part in us winning it.

He actually is a really solid shot stopper (on his day) and just does not fit in with the way we want a keeper to play, he needs to be strong with his feet and he never will be.

He's basically Simon Mignolet with medals.
