A tough decision, but I'd imagine he was also thinking that its a WC next year so not too long to wait.

I doubt many would have sacrificed a big tournament though.

Trent ( injured still?) , Robertson, Williams , Wilson,

Did I miss anyone?

If we have a succession plan, we need to start to see players coming in sooner rather than later. 2 years left of Klopp after next season.

We are on course to to be a bit fucked in 3 years as none of the current jewels will have any resale value and no Klopp.

Has to be a plan.

Is anyone else getting a football buzz today. Not the Euro's, strangely I haven't been able to muster excitement about internationals since the late 90s. But the fact Salah, Mane and VvD will be rested, recovered and raring to go from tomorrow. Can't wait for the daily training vids with these three involved!!

No, I've loved this tournament - the most enjoyable for a long, long time imo. After the shell of last season, with fans back in and loads of great games, I've absolutely loved this and enjoyed the break from the regular stuff. Looking forward to the final. Cheering for England but if they lose I'll wake up tomorrow with it completely forgotten. A nice mental space to be in imo.

there is a young lad who just moved in next door who supports Birmingham and he's being bouncing around singing three lions all morning

thankfully he's going to his mates tonight.

I wonder how this would go down at Anfield now compared to this Hillsborough gig , seems we are a lot more cynical.

As boring a final as I expected with England being involved. Italy v Spain was the best game of football I've seen in many years. Both teams were on it, 22 players with no sloppy or wayward passing for 90 whole minutes. Unbelievable stuff. But the rest, nah, no excitement.

But now it's over!! Come on Liverpool, let me see those lactic test results!!

I thought they’d report to Liverpool first & then go to Austria but I saw a photo of Mo apparently arriving in Austria today.

I think him training is actually detrimental to the club, as people will start to count on him again instead of looking for replacements although if Kabak for 12m is not an option, I guess we wouldn't sign another defender regardless of his fitness.

Let's hope he has some good games again this season.

Matip is a fantastic defender... easily our second best... When fit. Very similar to VVD, and I think when they play together we are as good as we can get.

Problem is he is made of cream crackers.
