There is a fair degree of truth in what he's saying.

Also pointing out the 1Bn spend on players in the last 8 seasons

Somehow our owners have to be brought into this along with Carragher bringing our fanbase into it.

Just cancel the game and give us the 0-3 win and the three points.

Neville has always been critical of the Glaziers. He never liked them and has always been vocal about it. This is not hyperbole and canít really fault them for protesting which is apparently, being a peaceful one.

We as Liverpool fans have been there before, so that would be hypocritical of us not to understand their stance.

Were the clubs leaving English football ?

News to me

Seems to be a bullet point on Sky whenever this topic comes up.

Thatís nonsense. We had owners who couldnít refinance their loans and almost took us into administration. This situation is not like that at all.

Or was Carragher behind the fans that protested H&G?

Has the knife stuck into FSG but where was his loud mouth when H&G were ruining the club? Og right he would look the other way and get a fat pay rise.

Fucking nerve of him to say that Liverpool fans did the same at Anfield as what is happening at Old Trafford today.

The police being pelted with bottles, the ground broken into, property damaged, flares fired at the box with the Sky presenters in it and Carragher shitting on about how he cannot condemn the actions of the Manc fans today as he says Liverpool fans did the exact same ten years ago.

Yep they are trying to say the ESL was an attempt to leave the PL and have being saying that for a couple weeks now. Just peddling whatever narrative suits them regardless of the facts.

Funniest bit is him today complaining about rich owners coming in and taking away the soul of a club but only in the cases of Man U and Liverpool of course.

Not a peep about the club he played for.

Aye....if its said often enough, the great unwashed will soak it in and not even question every time its said.
I think I can only recall one discussion about how it would affect the PL going forward in a considered fashion.........and that wasn't on Sky.

In a sense itís worse as what threatened to happen a few weeks ago would have affected European football and the game on a wider scale.

NBC reporting a stand off at a hotel that one of the teams are at as "protesters" are there throwing stuff.

Neville still claiming the FSG tried to furlough the players and Carragher saying nowt to contradict it.

Better off if our lads just get on the coach and head for Liverpool. Fuck trying to get through mobs and then going to a ground and hoping people do not break in during the game.

Just as well this is not happening at Anfield, otherwise there would be widespread condemnation of what was happening.

Security at Anfield during covid is watertight, I can't believe the rubbish fencing and staffing used today when they had the advanced notice of the protest.

On NBC, footage of a police officer being helped away with a bloody head. Footage of bottles flying and barriers being thrown. Footage of a stand off at a team hotel. Footage of camera stands etc being smasjhed inside the ground.

On Sky...Neville and Carragher saying it is just a peaceful and justified protest.

I’m not watching, but I’d have thought anyone not condemning this will be on pretty dodgy ground. Given the history of crowd trouble. Saying that this is an acceptable protest sets precedent. When fans return that could cause some problems.

It’s Nevilles team so he is clearly going to say it is peaceful. As mentioned not sure the narrative would be the same if this were happening at Anfield.

Meant more if Liverpool fans did the same stuff like pelting the police with bottles and did damage, then there would be no talk of it being a justified protest and it being a peaceful protest.

Neville said that all fans need to rise up and start doing this.

Sky Sports calling it a peaceful protests

Sky News saying it is a violent protest.

Sky, talking from both sides of the mouth at the same time.

NBC reporting there has been a breach of the covid bubble areas in the ground (dressing rooms etc) and that the game should be cancelled on those grounds.

Not a peep from Sky about that aspect.

NBC reporting that the hotel, the Lowery, Man U (Glazers) have a contract with for their team to go to before games is co owned by Neville.

Gary is against the Glazers except when he is making money from them

Hope the Manc fans fuck up the hotel and then have someone say to Neville that he said it was a justified protest.

It's barely been mentioned at all

I honestly don't know how the game can proceed on the Covid basis alone

You would surely have to cancel it if people have been into areas of the ground where the players will be. Similarly if they have been in contact with the players at the hotel.

Also Man Utd should be facing some kind of punishment whether the game goes ahead or not.
