I saw some of this.
Turned it off and didn't even watch the race.
Why is that Welsh guy from the pop music programmes presenting the coverage?

He was asked to do it and thought, "Yeah I like F1, I like travelling the world, I like meeting beautiful women, let's give it a go!"

And who can blame him.
You'd think that they might get someone in who knows his arse from his elbow though. He just kept kept banging on about how tall Usain Bolt is. As I say, I turned the whole thing off. Appalling.

Yeah, I'm not keen on the C4 coverage, I persist with Sky even though their main anchor is rhyming slang in itself as well.
I wondered if they were trying to recreate the old BBC team from a few years ago, with welsh man as Jake Humphries. Difference was, Jake was really good and could offer more than just "Wow, I'm here at GPs, MAGIC!"

I didn't see any of that other bollocks, but it was quite a good race, first I've watched in a while. Mainly due to Max Verstapen, why he lose 3rd place? It wasn't for that final overtaking manoeuvre surely?

Yeah it was - all 4 wheels were outside track limits so it was an illegal move. He's a star isn't he? I really like him.
I didn't watch the build up either, straight in at 7:55pm for the race

Thats a shit rule. It was the best bit in the entire race.
yeah, the rest of the front runners seem quite robotic, he adds a bit of dynamism and excitement. Seems like Lewis Hamilton just has to get up front and then his car clearly blows everyone else away.

Well, if it was tennis and had been a forehand smash it would have been called out as it was outside the white line. Pity like.
Nah, the championship has had Ferrari involved up until the summer. Hamilton has just been imperious since the summer break, he's taken that car along with him. Bottas's performance shows its not all about the Mercedes this year.

I suppose thats true, felt like he really deserved it.
Interesting, I've really lost interest over the last few years so I cant comment with any authority, but there was just about enough to pique my interest in the entire spectacle yesterday.
I don't much like Hamilton (or Vettel, cant take to them as individuals) but he is a machine.

Horrendous Formula 3 crash
Glad to say first of all she's OK - the driver is a young lass of just 17 years old!

It was a crazy crash. The speed she took into the corner, the little bounce off the curb and then the bigger bounce off the yellow car and she flew, if the gantry wasn't there I wonder how far she would have flown. The officials were as lucky as she is. Still, it looks cool af now that it's been confirmed that everyone is going to be OK.

Incredible that he survived. It was like watching someone walk out of the centre of a missile strike.
I guess it literally was someone walking out of a missile strike.
