The reason they had to postpone the Everton game is that they got a number of tests results the day of the game itself.

they are looking back to their best..... really good against Chelsea and United.

Have to wonder though, has this corona outbreak that caused them to postpone their trip to Goodison helped them out? I think it has. So they have a few players with the rona. Bad news for the players but in reality the rest of their huge squad got a mini mid-season break..... in prep of Chelsea away

I see the Villa vs Everton game is in doubt as Villa's training ground is still closed.

How on earth did City's training ground re-open two days after their massive covid outbreak?

It was fucking 0-0 with 10 to go. Game should be replayed.

Not that the title race concerns us

The 'phase' system is the worst thing for football since the offence of obstruction became the legitimate tactic of 'shielding' was phased out. Of course Mings plays the fucking ball. Players are taught to play to the whist. Not guess what the officials could do and try to make a best guess. The player is in an offside position and forces the defender to play the ball. If Mings controlled it then made a crap backpass that's different but the attacker so abundantly obviously gained an advantage

Fucking ball hadn't even touched the ground after Mings had controlled it before he's hopped on.

Absolute nonsense

Even attempting to pressure the defender from an offside position means its offside, therefore he was offside before Mings even touched it.

There’s just no way it’s not offside.

He’s offside. When he goes to challenge Mings he does so from an offside position. The only way he can be there is because he was offside.

It’s a shocking decision and Villa were well in that game to that point.

...just sums up this fucking season in all honesty. The double standards and u-turns are worse than the tory PM twat, Johnson. 2021 is definitely the year of "totally incompetent tosspot stays far too long in an important job"...

I just wish they would be honest - call it what it was a mistake. It would be much more palatable - rather than the bullshit that goes on trying to justify the decision.

That strip they are wearing today is the worst I've ever seen. It's like something a nurse would wear on the children's ward.

Coady equalised for Wolves. Delightful if he ends their winning run after all the gimpery on Bluefume about his deliberate 'mistakes' playing against us.

Sounds like they were pretty shit and they still one 4-1.

It’s for the best. Pretty much all other options for the team winning the League were unacceptable.

They have had a fully fit squad (for the most part) and can interchange around 6 players every game (just look at their bench) so the sheer number of games in short spaces as well as lack of crowd/intensity has suited them to a tee.
Other end of the spectrum to us where were struggling to put out a team and cant rotate.

When playing every other day, this is where their strength in depth really shines thru. If we had players left to rotate, i think we are the only club that could be pushing them close.

And yet nobody is arsed.....l.if we had a fully fit squad I still think wed smash them. When they beat us at Anfield we were well on top before Ali lost his head. I think if we got every back bar our 3 CBs wed have a cut off them in the CL because we dont fear them

The other big advantage they have is no crowds - they dont get one at their place and dont have that emotional connection with their fans the same as other clubs do.

Rather them than United and given what they spend anything else is a failure

21 wins in a row is crazy. I suppose this is what happens when you have such depth of quality in your squad from years of splurging massive money. What it means is when they have injuries or need to rotate players out of fatigue etc they don't have a huge drop off in quality and don't compromise as much as the rest. There are very few teams who have this luxury.

I watched that City game last night. While they were completely and utterly dominant first half, Wolves came at them and caused them a few problems second half. City scored 3 goals in the last 10/15 mins (two goals coming right at the end). Without a doubt, a fully fit us would have run them close.
