Aye.....but even then, we had a proper celebration ripped away from us.
Small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.........but still hurts.

That’s the way I’m viewing it.
If someone said in 2017 that we would win the CL in 2019, the League in 2020 and then we’d have an absolute dog of a season. I’d have agreed after they said the League in 2020.
I’m not taking shit from any supporters of other teams because I just don’t care. We’ve had the 4-0 over Barca, winning the final in Madrid and then walking the League.
Most clubs would dream of that. About 89 clubs would snap out arms off for what we’ve just experienced.

Honestly, I would take another shit season next season just to experience what we had last season. Obviously I hope we don't.

100% and I’d probably have taken most any amount of shit options for the next few years to win last year. The last two seasons have been the best side for me as a fan and I’m watching since the mid 80s.
There is a big possibility we play Europa league or no Europe next season - all our injured players will be chomping at the bit to put it right and be rested after years of non stop football. I hate the Europa league but if we had a full squad then Kelleher, Neco, Tsimikas, Jones, Taki etc etc will get plenty of games and be match fit if called upon.
I’ve become numb to this and just accepted it - Hendo maybe out for the season now also. Our first 5 CBs all out - no side could carry that. We heard about poor City’s woes because Laporte was out yet he doesn’t start for them now - look at our woes ffs

I just want this shit show of a season to be over, whether we finish 4th or 14th. I don't want to see another game without fans, another player ruled out by injury, another CB partnership, another game we fail to score in, another bullshit VAR decision against us, I'm just exhausted by it all, every game just feels like you're down on the floor and some t**t is just giving you another couple of kicks.

Aye, seriously considering binning off Sky - until next season at least. Have to do my deadlift session after going to see Dad today cos I postponed it from yesterday for that shite. Waste of life.

We didn't really get to experience it though did we?
I'll take this season if we come back next season and all this covid shit is a bad memory. Just the opportunity to celebrate with friends in the streets and in the pubs would be great. That won't happen this year either, hopefully it'll happen next season and we'll win it again.

Our form has been bad since the fans weren't there, stretching back to last March. You just know that if our form returns with the fans that we'll be accused of bullying. Not that I care

Top at Christmas and now 19 behind City and 5 behind West Ham! Has this ever happened before?

It's been a catastrophe since the new year. Complete and utter capitulation. Crazy to think there's a 39 point swing between us and City when we won the league.

And to think, some figured City for a fatigue drop with their lack of break etc

Nah it’s not. Leicester came 12th. And Chelsea had a bad defence recently.
Both managed to come back in seasons after. Same as we will.

Yep, Chelsea finished 10th in 2015/16
Leeds began the first PL as champions as finished 17th.

We loved throwing around these stats last year so it's only fair that we own them this season
We're currently closer to occupying a relegation place than the top of the league

Anyone else getting a bit bored of football without crowds? It's plainly shit and just doesn't mean as much to me.

Yes, but not winning is the bit I'm really bored of. Or maybe it's watching us pass the ball for 90 minutes and do nothing with it, can't decide.

The fan factor has been massively underestimated. Wonder if the club could do more to simulate the effect. Something more exciting/realistic with crowd noise?

Sadly it's too late for this season, we could be entering damage limitation times. You wonder if we rely on it too much. What's Palace's home record been like?

Last Six away for Palace. Won 1. Drew 2. Lost 3. DLDLWL.

Yes I wondered that too. Would have thought that the clubs would have been able to play their own crowd noise at the grounds so the players could hear it rather than the crowd sound being a TV only thing.

Our PL games left:
Sheffield Utd A
Chelsea H
Fulham H
Wolverhampton A
Arsenal A
Aston Villa H
Leeds A
Newcastle Utd H
Manchester Utd A
Southampton H
West Bromwich A
Burnley A
Crystal Palace H
Even with our current poor form it should be possible to get enough points from these to get us back into top 4.

AFC Wimbledon’s win over Gillingham last night wasn’t just significant in League One
It now means Liverpool have the worst home record in 2021 in the entire English football leagues

And we can still finish in top four positions from here. That's a shame on everybody below us (Everton, Arsenal), everyone above us barring City and everyone around us.

Might be better to have them picked up in the same van that took Boxer to the "animal hospital" in Animal Farm.
Klopp could stand there and say that the swish rehab centre that recently bought the van had just not had the time to put their own sign over that of the previous van owner.
