Surprisingly (perhaps), Pardew is the second longest serving manager in the Premier League.
Apparently anyway - can't be arsed to check if that's actually true.

Ian Holloway: Crystal Palace boss departs Premier League strugglers
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24643421
Ian Holloway has left his position as manager of Crystal Palace after less than a year in charge.
It is unclear whether the 50-year-old resigned, was sacked, or left by mutual consent but the Premier League club are holding a news conference at 17:30 BST.
Holloway guided Palace to promotion via the play-offs last season after joining in November 2012, and has won only one league game and lost seven this season.
A 4-1 defeat by Fulham on Monday left the club five points adrift of safety.
Speculation surrounded Holloway's job following a meeting with chairman Steve Parish after the loss to Fulham, with the pair believed to have held further talks on Tuesday.
The former Blackpool manager said he spent a long time with his players immediately after the defeat.
Speaking before the game at Selhurst Park, Parish had told BBC Radio 5 live that Holloway's position was secure.
More to follow.

FOOTBALL
Wales manager Chris Coleman is understood to have held talks with Crystal Palace about becoming manager of the Premier League's bottom club, the Daily Telegraph reports.
Former Birmingham and Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is also interested in the position, which has been vacant since Ian Holloway's departure last week.
Palace says caretaker manager Keith Millen will be in charge for the away game at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

I had forgotten that aspas even existed. Can't we loan him out to one of those car wash places that spring up at old petrol stations, make him earn his bread.

Avb would get the sack if results don't improve sharpish I reckon.

Maybe to early as they are only 4 points off second place. But long may it continue

I like Jol.
Don't think he's a bad manager either. Even though Fulham are doing shit.

Ironically, I think Jol would have did a better job at Spurs this year than AVB.

Martin Jol's attitude is always his biggest downfall. He always publicly says that he expects his team to lose to the big teams but its ok because they can aim to beat the bottom half teams. What the fuck kind of ambition is that
Then when its all going wrong he just shrugs his shoulders and says he doesn't understand why
He talks his teams into a lack of confidence and talks himself into sackings

Owen Coyle has left Wigan "by mutual consent" i.e. you're shit and you either walk or we're firing you.
