Lot of effort. I like it for what it is not what it wants to be.

So much effort for something already forgotten.

Good glimpse of what he's about today. Excellent pressing stats, good dribbler and great in front of goal.
It'll be interesting to see how his game grows in a better team. Very similar stats that mane had when we signed him.

Loving Jota's debut, pressed really well, got into all the right positions, scored and could have had 2 more. Love it.

That was a good cameo, scored a goal, pressed well and got in go positions, should hopefully give us options.

Think tactically he looks a really good fit. Stylistically, the opposite of what Andy Carroll was for us Think he'll do really well with his drips of minutes because of it. Let's be honest, ideally (at this stage anyway) he's not getting in ahead of our front 3, so he'll have 20-30 min the majority of the time. Last thing we need is someone who 'needs a run of games'.
I know his appearance has been discussed a lot over the years, but how long until Buzzo claims him as additional Scottish representation?

Imagine a defender's face having 70 minutes of facing Salah, Mane and Firmino, Only for Jota to come on for the last 20 minutes. I reckon a few defenders will be feeling a tweak in their Hamstring.

Fits us like a glove.
He had every right to tear a strip off Mo but cos he's new he just merrily skipped away.

Love him already. He's confident too, no namby pambying around, straight into it like a boss.
Strange observation, accent is nothing like Mourinho (Portuguese) but a whole lot like Rafa.

To be fair to Salah, he was already running when the ball came to him and momentum made him take the ball from Jota.
Does it bother anyone else that you want to say Diego but there's an extra o in there? He sounds like a Pro Evo Soccer player - Diogo Moradinna or something like that!

All this, looks a great asset & a pain in the arse for defenders. Will also have Mane, Mo & Bobby looking over their shoulder, as proper class A replacement

Echo what has been said, what a great and clever signing, looking like we can maybe try for the Carabao and Fa cups this season

Unless we continue to get shit draws, like Arsenal on Thursday. We'll probably get Man City away in the FA Cup 3rd Round!

Players like Jota, Jones & Minamino could really thrive in the cups and get the game time they need to push on. I really hope we get a good cup run so these lads can get some sharpness into them.

Nope, but whenever Diogo comes up, I think of the bald fullback that played for Zaragoza. Can't mention him without posting his hilarious 'fight' with Luis Fabiano

You know what? I'm gonna say it - he's a hustler, he has a similar technique, directness and running style as Suarez.
Obviously not the same level but I'm definitely seeing some similarities.
