Liverpool have completed the transfer of Ozan Kabak from Schalke 04 on loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 20-year-old defender will spend the remainder of 2020-21 with the Reds after he put pen to paper on the deal on deadline day.
Kabak completed the formalities of the switch in Germany and will travel to Merseyside later this week.
The Turkey international arrives at Anfield after two years in the Bundesliga, where he represented VfB Stuttgart before joining Schalke in July 2019.
Prior to moving to Germany, Kabak came through the ranks at Galatasaray, where he gained Champions League experience with four appearances in the tournament in 2018-19.
On the international front, he has earned seven caps for Turkey to date.
He will wear No.19 for Liverpool.

A goodbye message for a 6 month loan?
I suppose whatever happens here, his future won’t be with Schalke.

With Matip out for the season as well I'd expect Kabak to come into the side pretty sharpish. Him and Fabinho with Henderson back into midfield.

Quarantine for 14 days. Then he has to train. Be March surely.

Really? Fair enough. Tennis players are in Oz. Must just be football that's the exception.

No, just Oz take it seriously, state wide lockdowns if there's just one case found.

It's a bit easier for a remote outpost to lock down than one of the most pivotal hubs on the planet

If we ever manage to populate the entirety of this country, we will be the super power of the world. Only thing stopping this from happening is the wildlife trying to murder us every day.

Agreed our demographics favours us. 90% of the population in cities 100s if not 1000s of km from each other. But Melbourne had 750 new cases of community transmission a day in July and we fkn eliminated the thing. Strong leadership and a population that understands how social contracts work
UK never stood a chance with the arse-clown you’ve got running the joint

It was slightly tongue in cheek but the fact remains that London is a hub and simply shutting it down was logistically far more difficult. That illustration is very helpful too, Europe probably has 10 times the population in less area, and we don't have huge deserts between our cities

The Europe one blows my mind.
The other thing stopping you is that 95% of the land is un-inhabitable

I was thinking about this. I wonder will it be Fabinho that goes back into midfield and Henderson stays in defense with the new arrival. Just more likely that Henderson will talk him through the game a lot better??? Not sure but it wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah, just the minor issue of fuck all water.
Vlakha, TBH, I'm kinda happy I live in a low population country at the end of the earth. Helps us avoid the worst of those pesky wars and pandemics. I've lived in a few other countries and we've got it as good as anyone. Our low population density certainly has a positive effect on our quality of life.

No, that’s Matip and he’s out for the season.
Fab was minor muscle injury, Klopp is hoping to have him back for the City game.

The City game will be huge. A few weeks ago I'd have given us no chance but we have beaten them before with Karius and Lovren in our team. Attack will certainly be the best form of defense so hopefully we can have our first choice front 3 in the team and give them chances to attack City. Dias and whoever he partners have done well this season but let's show them they've not played any attack as good as ours yet.
It is a huge call for Klopp on who he plays in defense though. I wonder will he go with Fab and Hendo.

I wondered the same, we usually take a while to bed players in and it could be a little harsh to drop someone (probably Kabak) into our biggest game of the season after just a couple of days of prep. Henderson and Fabinho might be the way to go if fit. If Fab doesn't make it it's a tough call.

Having never seen Kabak or Davies play I did wonder whether Davies for the City game would be the better option - at least he's more likely to be used to the speed of the English game.

True but only at Championship level. It’d be a huge call & I can’t see either of the new signings playing against City tbh.

Same, I reckon Hendo and (hopefully) Fab for the City game.
