If only Bobby had laid that off to Virg.
We've played very well.

A three nil scoreline would flatter Bournemouth today.

If he'd had not taken a touch and smashed it. Think the touch helped the goalie to mve to the ball.

Could have helped our goal difference even more today, but very good performance and a result we really needed.

Back to last years formation and Salah and Bobby looked far more involved.....great win and the lads looked full of running again. Maybe there was a bout of food poisoning in the squad

We were back to our best. Fluency in attack and control of the game. Only downside is we should have scored 5 or 6.

They both played really well today, different feel entirely. I thought Mane had a good shout as well.

Our pressing was very good today

I was very impressed with Keita.

Wijnaldum seemed to revel in his role as the most advanced of the midfield 3

We look better playing 433 with Salah on the right and Firmino up

Should have scored more

Nice to keep a clean sheet again

Excellent all round performance by the boys today. Top of the league, 3 points, clean sheet and players coming back from injury. Looking good again.

Know who else was great today, the crowd.

Seemed to be constant singing and noise throughout the whole game.

Great performance that was today, much better and much more positive. We played some beautiful football today I thought.

Sounds like there was a bit of norovirus around the squad for the past couple of games then. After watching that netflix thing about the rajneeshes someone probably poisoned the salad bar......

Like Mo's Shaq celebration too

All round solid performance that. Hardly gave them a touch of the ball tbh. Impressed by Matip & really hope he stays fit. Fabinho is a beast & Gini is unleashed when he’s in the holding role allowing him to get forward.

The team yesterday just looked much more balanced, Wijnaldum getting forward to support the attack was good to see as well, he is probably the one midfielder we have who is capable of getting goals from midfield if he can get into the positions, he has played very well in the defensive role this season but if we can get him in those positions more often it gives us something extra.

Firmino also seemed to be playing more centrally which suits him more than where he has been playing recently, hopefully we can keep him there as he's been off the boil recently, but yesterday in that role he was much more in the game and we tend to play well as a side when Bobby does well.

I also thought that Keita was excellent, his best game for us IMO.

The only disappointing thing about the game was that we only scored 3, I think we should really have had 5, which would have been a nice boost to our goal difference

This is what that POP said on RAWK after the West Ham game.

Quote:
Yep. It's what Klopp is used to, and allows for the periodisation plans he knows. It looks like he used the 10-day break as a de facto mid-season break, which means our players are basically playing like it's August again - recovery then ramped-up fitness training and ready to go for the rest of the season. If the squad illness story is true, then we should see them all back to normal over the next two games.
