What a valuable player to the team he is, can play midfield, right back and center back. It's so important, allows Klopp to keep the squad a bit smaller.

From what Klopp has said previously, when it comes to the midfield, there is no "first name on the teamsheet" as the midfield is his engine room and expected to do the most running, so the players will be constantly rotated to keep them fresh and injury free. Hence we very rarely play the same midfield...whether that philosophy changes when we are only playing the one game a week will be interesting to see.

He looked very good on Saturday alongside Van Dijk

As an emergency centrehalf he's about as good as it gets

I expect Klopp to mainly play Fabinho, Henderson and Wijnaldum in our remaining PL games (quite a conservative midfield). I can only see it changing due to injuries or if we start losing games. Tough on Naby and Milner but understandable.

With everyone fit, how do you see them interchanging?

Gini for Hendo seems an obvious one. Ox for Naby and Shaq for Fabinho

Fabinho/Henderson

Gini/Milner

Keita/Shaqiri

I reckon the first choice will be Fab, Gini, Keita. Henderson coming on later in games for control.

Milner covering the full back positions

I think we won't have a first choice three as such I think we'll mix it up as and when we need to. Horses fuck horses as someone used to say

My excitement of the shock signing in the summer is now full blown satisfaction. So many forward playing options open up when he has the ball.

Tremendous footballer who will only get better in a red shirt. Fully settled in now and not only established in the first eleven but is becoming a key player for us. Could be the difference in clinching the title

Already a favourite of mine, I see him as a balls deep kind of man, no nonsense and all.. less of a driver through the middle than viera, but an all around better passer of the ball with the same nous in the tactical defending positioning and tackling...

Yeah he’s a superb player who’s found his feet in the league & our team now. He & Gini are the first two midfielders chosen now imo & Naby hopefully has turned the corner too. Fabinho’s range of passing from deep reminds me of Alonso & his intercepts/ tackling more like Masher. He’s looking the complete player at present & helps the backline out like no other Liverpool player can.

It's where Klopp excels. his tactics are ok, his man management is great, but his signings are on the money every frickin time.

We're all sitting here thinking WTF half the time but they without exception seem to be the perfect man for the job.

Keita will come good for this reason if nothing else.

You make him sound like Harry Redknapp.

Although he may not have invented Gegenpressing, he certainly evolved it and his name is synonymous with that style of play and will be studied and copied for years to come. Despite the success he's had with it, he's adapted his tactics this year and broken all sorts of records with the season we are having.

The man is a genius.

Thatís not Klopp though, thatís Mickey Edwards and his team.

Similarly, it was Zorc at Dortmund.

Not saying that Klopp doesnít have any input with signings, but itís definitely not what defines him as a manager.

He's like a metronome dictating the tempo of play. Far more technical ability and bottle to go forward than Henderson.

Identifying new players is a very time consuming and competetive busisness, at the highest level requiring a scouting network spanning multiple continents to run the rule over scores of players, so ofcourse Klopp doesn't have time to do all that.

Having said that, do you really think Mickey Edwards bimbled into Klopps office one afternoon and said: "Yo Jurgen, there's this dude called Virgil Van Dijk that I think we should sign before anybody discovers him".

I'm sure Klopp is independently aware of a lot of players, especially in the European leagues, that he's told the scouting department to keep an eye on. The likes of Keita, Fabhino and Alisson will hardly have been unknown to the Manager before the scouts clued him up.

The sign of a really good scouting department is recruiting players for a small fee before they hit the big-time who then turn into superstars, not paying world-record fees for the finished articles.

Obviously. I wasnít criticising him for it. Simply pointing out itís not what makes him an outstanding coach, since itís a job done mostly by others. Thatís not to say he doesnít sometimes pick out players himself that heís seen first hand (VvD and Mane, perhaps).

No. I donít really think that.

Iím sure he is too. That doesnít really change the actual point about what makes Klopp outstanding though.

The likes of Coutinho and Robertson. Donít forget, the scouting department were pushing for the likes of VvD, Salah, Mane, Alli prior to them joining Celtic, Chelsea, Spurs etc. And before Klopp was here.

I reckon he will be on the bench at Utd. Milner, Hendo & Gini to start as Klopp goes for his tried and tested but ultimately dull trio. Hope to hell I'm wrong.
