Good lad.....will give quality depth to our squad, which is a huge improvement as opposed to bringing in some no hoper.
Yes, we've overpaid......or rather paid the going rate for your typical overrated English player, but that's no fault of his and I hope, and think, he'll be a valued member of the squad for years to come.

That said, he is not carrying that beard look off at all. No objection, in fact I encourage, beards on our lads, but I'm not sure what's going on with that beard/moustache combo.

Someone's been on his Wikipedia page:

Lord Twatbeard began his youth career with Bournemouth before transferring to Southampton in 2000, where he became a professional in 2006.

Think he's a decent player who should suit our style of play.

As with pretty much everyone who signs for us it's almost as much about confidence as ability IMO.

We've signed plenty of decent players who haven't been up to it once they've arrived. If he's not overawed I think he'll be a success.

came across like a decent enough chap in the interview, his voice is a bit boring but luckily he isn't being paid to talk. The bit about Ricky Lambert saying He would have bet his mortgage on getting Southampton made me laugh - like either of those two have a mortgage!!!!

His other thread had loads of pages. However, I don't think how many pages there are on a thread really say all that much in the real world.

Maybe everyone is discussing / watching the world cup, and our best player moving to Barcelona?

When I said everyone, I meant everyone who made the effort to come and post on here today. It is pretty quiet though. Overall.

I'm neither overwhelmed or underwhelmed. I'm simply whelmed. Medium whelmed.

I think it's because we've all known it was going to happen for ages.

The Sanchez thread that only has 256 posts in it, as opposed to the Lallana thread that had 1,752 in it when it was closed? Or a different one?

Maybe Lallana should bite someone? That seems to add a few additional posts, which would make his signing instantly more palatable.

The one that doesn't exist yet. I meant compare it to the welcome thread for Sanchez when it happens.

Or don't, I don't give shit!

How could it when it doesn't exist. If we want to be silly compare both threads, the Sanchez one when it's been open the same amount of time as the Lallana one that's closed. And then the welcome threads after the first day.

Or don't, I don't give a shit

Or he could be outstanding for us, like every signing they have the potential to succeed or fail.

It seems some have a crystal ball and know how shit he's going to be before he's kicked a ball for us it seems the club can never get it right for some either it's Ayres fault for not supposedly spending am extra £5M to bring in a signing or we don't move quick enough or it's over spending (remember Ayre being a tight arse in an earlier point).

Rodgers has got a first choice target in early doors with the minimal fuss which is great to see if he doesn't work out then perhaps we can throw about "I knew he'd be shit etc...." but maybe let's see how he does for us first
