From the beeb:

Bit harsh tbf but no doubt will get the fume going on the Spurs forums . .

Paris St-Germain and France midfielder Adrien Rabiot will not consider a move to Tottenham because he considers the club "below" his level. The 23-year-old wants to leave the French champions. (ESPN)

Why the fuck are Spurs brining Harry Kane on for the final 15 mins of a game when they're already 6 goals up?

I forgot this was on until I went to BBC and saw headline "Kane among goals as Spurs thrash Tranmere" why is it always about Kane?

Just make them play at Wembley for the entire season. Enough of this fuckery from a boring club.

They are making fools of themselves now, but i guess financially they need to be in their own stadium as soon as is possible.

the Premier league must now insist they remain there all season; although part of me thinks it would be amusing to see Warnock combust, if they allowed them to play Huddersfield at the new stadium in April & Huddersfield won the game.

The stadium looks amazing to be fair. If it affects their ability to sign players for several years though will it have been worth it? I'm sure it will pay off in the long term, but will the damage already have been done?

I think our approach to iterating on the current stadium makes more sense to be honest.

Reading between the lines, they'll be in the new stadium for the run in.

That could go either way for them.

Big problems for Spurs.

Quote:
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino says he is worried that Harry Kane was injured against Manchester United - and if he is "it is going to be massive for us".

Kane had to be helped from the pitch at Wembley after being hurt in a last-minute challenge as United won 1-0.

"It was a clear foul on Harry Kane, a big hit, [referee] Mike Dean said he didn't see it," Pochettino said.

"It was a bad tackle and now he has bit of a swelling on his ankle."

Kane - who had seven shots as Spurs failed to find a way past United goalkeeper David de Gea - had an ankle injury in 2018 and missed 10 games the season before with a similar injury to the same ankle.

Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko was also injured, being replaced before half-time.

"It wasn't the intention of the United player but it was a bad tackle and Kane was limping after the game," Pochettino added.

"We are going to lose Son Heung-min for the Asia Cup and if Kane suffers an injury, it is going to be massive for us. He twisted his ankle and we hope that it is not a big issue."

9 points off the lead
Kane injured
Sissoko injured
Son going to Asia cup soon

Can Spurs hold onto a top 4 place without those three?

Shit thats as about a bad a result as you can suffer, out of the title race, star striker out, important midfielder out, beaten by a side who have not beaten anyone up until that point and the opposition pulls off worldie after worldie

I'm not saying they are definitely out of the race, but it's getting a little unlikely for them now. If they lose Kane and Son for the rest of January they will be in trouble.

They've lost 6 games already, which is pretty shocking really. If Kane is out for a while they might struggle to hold onto 3rd.

Let's not forget Song, is off on International duty now for 3 weeks, so there 2 most dangerous players are out. That's a massive blow

and then there were 2

Son barely misses any games. He arrived after they played two. Biggest game will be the second leg of the Carabo cup. Whoopdity do.

Every little helps. But the injury or suspension we could really do with is Fernandinho,

A week later:

"Pochettino, who has yet to claim a trophy in his managerial career, admitted disappointment at this rather meek defeat but suggested trophies would not maintain Spurs development as a club. We are going to create a debate that to win a trophy is going to help the club, he said. I dont agree with that. That only builds your ego. In reality the most important thing is being consistently in the top four and playing in the Champions League. That is going to help the club to achieve the last step."

So, maybe Klopp was onto something?

Or perhaps he's being realistic in as far as they need Champions League next season just to pay the bills and their squad isn't strong enough to challenge for trophies.

That stadium seems to be crippling them atm. They really do need Champions League football Parkside more than their rivals.

And he's the manager. He'll put whatever spin he can on to motivate everyone around him. It's his job.
