Sounds like a man under pressure. He's struggling badly since Lewis left, especially with trying to suppress a young, hungry driver using him as a target.

Yup, been out qualified by Perez for the past 3 races and things at McLaren seem to be in all sorts of problems, sad really

Di Resta has been excellent on the tyres today.
Alonso might well catch Hamilton here.

I've always been into F1, but this season I'm more hooked than ever, not because it's better but because the Sky coverage is brilliant.
The last few races especially I've watched all practice sessions whilst working, qualifying, the race (including buildup) and the aftermath.
Gutted that the next race is in 3 weeks time, especially when there's no footy on!

Marshal dies at Canadian GP after accident involving recovery truck
A 38-year-old marshal was killed at the end of the Canadian Grand Prix after being hit by a recovery truck.
The accident happened while Esteban Gutierrez's stricken Sauber was being removed from the Montreal circuit.
The International Automobile Federation said the man, who has yet to be named, had stumbled after dropping his radio.
"I am very, very sad to hear this news and my thoughts are with his family and friends," said Sebastian Vettel, who won the race for Red Bull.
The FIA said the marshal stumbled while attempting to pick up his radio as workers used a mobile crane to lift Gutierrez's car and return it to the pits.
He was run over by the recovery vehicle, whose driver could not see him, added the FIA.
Medics stabilised the victim at the track before he was airlifted to hospital where he later died.
Dr Jacques Bouchard, the Grand Prix's chief medical officer, said the marshal "suffered major trauma with multiple fractures and a serious abdominal contusion".
The FIA have yet to release any details about an investigation.
"The work of marshals is not always seen but it is vital to our sport and without their commitment, time and dedication there would be no motorsport," added three-time world champion Vettel, who extended his lead in this year's championship to 36 points
Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso, who finished second, said the man's death was "terrible news".
"Today there is nothing to celebrate," added the Spaniard on Twitter.
This was the first marshal fatality since 2001 when Graham Beveridge was fatally injured by a loose wheel from Jacques Villeneuve's BAR-Honda at the Australian Grand Prix.
At the previous year's Italian Grand Prix, volunteer firefighter Paolo Ghislimberti died from head and chest injuries after being hit by a loose wheel from Heinz-Harald Frentzen's Jordan.

Thoughts go out to Murray Walker, blood tests during recovery from fall injury showing he has cancer - which is treatable. #F1
Despite having to face chemo, Murray is more concerned about having to miss Silverstone and Goodwood. Typical!

No great shock this but Webber is quitting F1 at the end of the season to go and drive for Porsche.
I wonder who's going to be lined up as his replacement, I fancy a real Number 2 driver in someone like Ricardo to take his seat which will keep Vettel happy as a clear number 1 driver.

Yeah - Kimi has been linked but can't see him going in and playing second fiddle to Seb. They'll get someone in who won't question the order at all.

Why would they though? In reality Seb is doing everything asked of him so why upset that situation.
Schumacher never had a competitive partner at Ferrari and Alonso showed he didn't like it when he left McLaren. There are some drivers who are clear Number 1's and they want it to remain that way.

Hamilton was all set for Red Bull until Mateschitz overruled it because he was loyal to Webber.

Di Resta is starting from the back of the grid due to an underweight car, fucking hell Force India really have cost him this season.

It was he himself who was underweight, but he is now apparently back to his normal weight so they are thinking of appealing. They think the scales was dodgy.
hope he gets to start in 5th

He is, isn't he? I like Webber, he looks and sounds relieved in his interviews now.
Fed up for Di Resta, real pity. He's got his motivation back after the Mercedes / McLaren snub last year. He was better off staying in Force India than going to McLaren.

I don't usually watch F1, but usually do for the British GP. But even to my uneducated eyes, this is a fucking shambles. Why is a race being dominated by tyres.
