They seem to be getting a bit better, Bruno will improve them quite a bit, shame to say but I'd have taken him, although he seemed to disappear in defence a little bit, but didn't see the whole game.

City looking fairly shit though, no one there looked even OK.

Yep, literally anything could have improved them.

That being said, he does look a decent player. He wont be there long.

Just seen a tweet doing the rounds from their home game at the end of Feb. Sounds like they will be ditching their security provider CSG pretty quickly.

Trying to pin all of this on COVID seems fanciful

Results are up until 31st of March

They played their last home game on 8th March and weren't due to have another home game until 11th April.

Former Birmingham City and Sheffield United midfielder Curtis Woodhouse reckons Ryan Giggs was an “unbelievably overrated” player for Man Utd.

The former Wales international won 13 Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and two Champions Leagues in his time at Old Trafford.

However, Woodhouse, who played three times in the Premier League for Birmingham, reckons Giggs‘ career stats for Man Utd resemble those of a left-back, not a left winger.

Quote:
“Ryan Giggs another unbelievably overrated Manchester United player,” Woodhouse posted on Twitter.

“Outstanding longevity but in a team that dominated for years and were a free scoring machine his statistics for goals and assists is awful. Another Manchester United myth, good player, never anything more."

“Giggs has 162 assists in the PL over 22 years to go with his 109 goals, again over 22 years. His team dominated them 22 years of football breaking scoring records as they went. Ryan Giggs was a left winger, looking at his stats you may confuse him with a left back.

“Giggs didn’t even have a good left foot!! He was a outstanding athlete but his left foot wasn’t that good. His delivery was ok, not great, he couldn’t spray it about, he was a great athlete. Let’s keep it real.

“Giggs was a good player. Steady away down the left hand side, great energy, great pace. Good player, just not a great player, never had a world class season in 22 attempts but still a good player. Never poor but never brilliant, a good steady player.”

Comparing him to Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, Woodhouse added: “Yes, Bale is better than Giggs, had a bigger impact in club football and international football. Giggs will have longevity over Bale, that’s it. Ryan Giggs hasn’t got a single attribute better than Gareth Bale, not one.

“TAA [Trent Alexander-Arnold] is more of a attacking threat than Ryan Giggs was in 22 years. TAA is a right back and Ryan Giggs is a left winger.”

92/93 Goals 9 Assists 5

93/94 Goals 13 Assists 7

94/95 Goals 1 Assists 11

95/96 Goals 11 Assists 9

96/97 Goals 3 Assists 6

97/98 Goals 8 Assists 9

98/99 Goals 3 Assists 2

99/00 Goals 6 Assists 12

00/01 Goals 5 Assists 8

01/02 Goals 7 Assists 12

02/03 Goals 8 Assists 10

03/04 Goals 7 Assists 11

04/05 Goals 5 Assists 9

05/06 Goals 5 Assists 7

06/07 Goals 4 Assists 7
Great brother as well, to be fair.

Hilarious as it is, its obvious the attacking winger position and importance has changed over the years, even in the timescale since Giggs retired. That standard left side position of a 4 man midfield is hardly the norm these days.

Not sure how accurate they are, just lifted from the story.
Gonna assume they're PL only.

It's nice to be reminded that these are people at the end of the day and it's the club name we hate!

I cannot dislike the guy (unless he's on the pitch for Man Utd!)

Brilliant. Great that he felt he could share his own experiences.

In work poverty is one of the many depressing things we have in modern society.

Everyone should try and give a little to food banks when possible.

So impressive that he has turned what was obviously a huge memory and a massive negative in his life into a big win.

His mum who had to suffer the indignity of having to visit food banks must be so incredibly proud.

Difficult to clap him at an opportune moment but I think some presentation from fans supporting foodbanks/SOS would work.

Fair play to him for sticking himself out there and potential for all this to backfire on him

I especially love that around 3 months ago there were snide digs left right and centre at football players for their wealth and its a footballer that has embarrassed this government in u-turning to help those struggling in this country to be able to afford to eat
