I know, but it's not an appropriateness/taboo thing. I know accuracy and comedy don't need to be aligned, but the schizophrenia = multiple personality disorder things is so fucking hackneyed yet totally incorrect. They are different conditions. At least shakey and Parkinson's are related, and it wouldn't be amusing if they weren't.

It's too lazy to be funny if nothing else. Like going for pun based on the wrong word. I guess it alone demonstrates the need for more mental health awareness, so people can at least get their jokes right.

This is going off on a Tangent now. But Shakey and Parkinson's are sort of related....but not really. You can have shakes and not Parkinson's and vice versa. My Mum doesnt shake, shes more of a MJ Fox type.

Point being not all jokes have to be accurate, to be funny.

Anyway, I acknowledge its not a fair example from me to bring my personal experience into it. Thats situational to Her and I. I wouldnt do the same jokes to some of her friends in the support groups. So I take the point.

Also, I think a vast vast majority of people still think Split Personality is the same as Schizophrenia. I did until I just looked into it.

It is accurate though. Tremor is a very common symptom of Parkinson's. The association is not bunk unlike...

Arguably I wouldn't have looked into it, if it wasn't for the joke. So if anything, it was educational

Can Pogba buy himself out his contract with the Webster ruling?
Been having wonderful arguments this season with a Man U friend of mine and he is fully committed to them selling Pogba for 150 mil and kick starting a rebuild.. personally I don’t think any club has or would spend that on him.

I find the 2 Andy Gorams thing funny & my (foster) brother has paranoid schizophrenia.

Anyways, the point was they already resigned him once in desperation and it was a joke.

Really sorry to hear about your Mum though Alex.

In happier times for Manchester United, it was reasonably common for Paul Scholes or Michael Carrick to play over 100 passes in a single match. Even then, however, their figures tended to be inferior to those of Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta from the days when tiki taka was all the rage at Barcelona.

Andreas Pereira’s statistics are not quite so impressive.

So far this season Pereira has averaged 32 passes a game in one of the poorer United teams in memory. There is only Aaron Wan Bissaka who has lost the ball more times and, of all the players in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team who have made 50 passes or more, Opta’s number-crunchers show Pereira has the third worst passing accuracy at the club. Against Wolves last weekend there were 14 different occasions when he gave away possession.

It has left Pereira straying dangerously close to being the player the Old Trafford crowd distrusts the most and, ordinarily, it might be possible to feel a measure of sympathy for him. Not so much, though, after seeing the photograph posted on his own Instagram page this week of him with “Tiki Taka Legend” inscribed next to his name on a 24-carat gold phone, below.

Reporting United are keen on signing Grealish in the summer but wait for it...... they expect to receive around £150m for Paul Pogba , who only has 12 months left on his contract I can’t imagine anyone offering that sort of money especially with 12 months left

I know it’s deluded of anyone to think they could get that for the parasite. With one year left he’d fetch what, £40m tops? Milan will offer to take him on loan for 12 months no doubt

Jesus, I'm sure we've all had some bad hot takes on here but that takes some beating

They all still rate Martial far higher than he deserves too. The fee at the time they signed him was crazy high and he'd only scored 15 career goals.

He's only averaged a goal every 3.4 games at Man Utd. The most he's scored in a season for them is 17. No idea how that lad thought he was suddenly going to consistently double that for an underperforming team

Shades of the BlueShite saying they wouldn't swap Jelavic for Suarez.

For what it's worth I rate(d?) Martial. I think Klopp would have him playing at a far, far higher standard than he ever has for them.

You look at the managers he's had since he signed for them. He never really stood a chance.

The Jelavic one was a hell of a shout

Martial comes across as a bit of a luxury player for me. He's very talented and capable of great goals etc but I couldn't envisage him putting in the hard work tracking back and blocking passing lanes that the likes of Salah and Mane routinely do.

Just looked him up according to Wikipedia his record is 43 goals in 396 games (1 goal every 9.2 games) which for a forward is so bad, that it makes Jesse Lingard prolific It is especially bad considering much of his career has been in the lower leagues.
