Presumably it's a Conservative Cynthia magazine

I hope Ronaldo now makes a pledge to donate £5m if the magazine offer to match it

Hahaha.

He's the most disgusting footballer on the planet. He's everything that supporters should hate - seeing someone clearly playing for themselves. All that preening and posturing and kicking off when someone else scores. What a cunt. It's why it's so ridiculous that Suarez is hated for his "cheating" or whatever - he celebrates every goal scored by others as though he'd scored it himself. It's only about the team winning for him, which is why fans of every club he's played for adores him.

Ronaldo is the most punchable player in world football.

Wholeheartedly agree

So funny reading the comments about him & his mega-donation-that-never-was praising him to the skies as though he was the New Messiah

He's a self obsessed self publicising prick - can't stand him

If I paid money to watch him I'd hate him. Sure he's brilliant, mind-boggling goalscoring numbers...but I'd tolerate him and hate him. I hated playing with players like him...I'm not violent but anyone with a hint of his attitude would make me want to kick their heads in. Go and play tennis or something you self-obsessed prick.

You just KNOW that anytime this fella makes a charitable donation, that he's not thinking about the children etc. It's all about making a good image for himself. Self absorbed prick can fuck off.

Good footballer mind.

What does not look good is the fact he said nothing at all, to my knowledge, to dispel the BS story when the media was lauding him over the donation that never was.

It was only when the charity came out with a statement to the media that the truth about the fake story came out.

We're assuming he knew something about it in the first place. He has a press agency so I'd blame them.

True but then again it was headline news in most European countries including Spain, and it was all over instant media including his own.

Plus he was making statements himself about the first earthquake before and after the news of the non donation broke so it is a bit difficult to imagine that he was oblivious to all the praise he was getting.

Or...the donation is true, hence the rumours started, but the player had asked for anonymity so the Charity are denying it took place?

Guy is a prick, but not for not donating to that charity.

In fact, that charity are a bunch of cunts for trying to shame him into responding with a donation to save face.

Cristiano Ronaldo finished with a season's best goals tally of 61 as his first-half hat-trick helped Real Madrid end their season by hammering Getafe.
The Portuguese forward's haul is one more than the 60 he scored in 2011-12.

Paris St-Germain have overtaken Manchester United in the transfer race for Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 30, by launching an £88m bid. (Marca)

Why has no one destroyed this preening pretty boy yet? He's taking the piss out of them, not so long ago he would have had his legs snapped in half. Great player in today's game, but he would have struggled badly 20 years ago. Messi would still of been a superstar albeit with less goals. But its about the here and now and that's some goal return.

Put either of them back in Souness' era and see how many goals they score from a hospital bed.

Jonathan Northcroft has claimed that he was asked by a representative of Gareth Bale not to mention his world record fee in a piece he was writing about the attacker – because it would annoy Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Sunday Times journalist told the extraordinary tale on BBC Radio 5 Live to the disbelief of everyone else in the studio. The revelation was made after Rafa Benitez was sacked by Real Madrid.

Madrid appointed Zinedine Zidane as his successor and if you believe certain reports, Bale wasn’t pleased with this change as he had a good working relationship with the Spaniard. Ronaldo didn’t.

Many suspect that this was partly due to the fact that Benitez appeared to pander more to Bale than Ronaldo, the three-time Ballon d’Or winner felt threatened by the Welshman’s arrival in 2013.

This would somewhat explain why Madrid try to massage his ego by almost hiding the fact that Bale cost £85 million, eclipsing his £80 million transfer from Manchester United in 2009.
