If we only played home games we'd be top 4 and only away games would get us CL football thanks to Citys ban.

Can't be long before we're 112 from 114 as we ended the season with 12 or sommat wins in a row

Would actually be pretty poor by our standards if we didn't beat the points record from here, even taking in to account losing a bit of motivation, rest etc. Never been too arsed about records but getting them cheating cunts out of the record books not long after they achieved it would be nice.

Aye

We won't even be immediately able to remember the records that this lot are breaking this season, but while there are the ones like 'The Invincibles' and the points record that I would love have.......I'd trade them in a second if it meant we defended the Champions League.

Fuck it......lets do both.

All this talk of records is great, but from here what constitutes a good season?

At the start winning the title was it for me, I didn't care about anything else, it sounds greedy but from this point if we just won the league would you be disappointed?

Going unbeaten through a season would be special as it is something that none of the great LFC sides of the past have done, and it is a place in history (people still talk about Arsenal's invincibles), again the points records etc would be nice to hold, but at the end of the day it would 'just' be one trophy.

The dream would be to win the league, Champions league and FA Cup and go unbeaten through the league in effect equaling Man Utd's treble and Arsenal's invincibles, which would make it difficult for anyone to deny this side as the GOAT. However I don't think that that is realistic as we would need to rest players in some games, personally I'm not that fussed about the FA Cup that is last in the list of priorities, but Would you risk the league records to win the CL again?

Yeah I think the issue now is we’ve set the bar so high, if we capitulate the rest of the season after the PL is official, then we’d look back and think “fucking wow” but there would be no icing on the cake. I want lots of icing now.

The league.

Even if the wheels were to falls off from this point on. We get dumped out the Champions League and FA Cup and we win the league by a single point it'd still be considered a fantastic season.

I was disappointed by the reaction of some of our fans toward Klopp regarding the FA Cup (not here, but other forums, Twitter, even folk on the Anfield Wrap), because they want a treble.

We finished 2nd under Houllier/Thommo by 7 points in 2001/02, 4 points under Benitez in 08/09, 2 points under Rodgers in 13/14, and 1 point under Klopp last season in 18/19.

We've had this monkey on our backs for so long, and each manager bar Klopp has only managed to replicate a title tilt once.

It's fine to be a little greedy, but given where we've been during those years, winning the league was always the Holy Grail, and now we're on the brink of achieving it. I really do feel given how exceptional we've been, people are forgetting the mental aspects of trying to win it in previous seasons.

If we don't win the FA Cup or Champions League, we'll go again next season. Winning the Premier League is/was the Holy Grail. I just feel some are forgetting that because they want more trophies, or the unique position we're in.

Title win is the be all and end all of it.
Then for me
PL+CL double > PL win unbeaten > PL win record points > PL+FA cup double.
Of course I hope we do PL+CL+ FA cup + unbeaten with records points total

As the greatest club side ever assembled we should be winning the CL. We are the best team, already have an advantage anyway over 2 legs coz Anfield and have the luxury of being able to rest players in league games if we want or need to. It's all set up for us. Plus the Ataturk is ours and we gotta defend it.

The season can't be anything other than great though even if Atletico knocked us out in the next round, we just go again next year. Can't grumble at a league and a few other little bits.

It's a great season whatever happens, there are various degrees of greatness available to us.

Agree that the League is the be all and end all, but given where we now find ourselves we may as well motivate by looking at records and additional trophies.

This team could be legendary, a team they talk about in 100 years, thats the potential.

Winning the League guarantees legendary status among our support. The records mean we get the wider recognition the way the Arsenal invincibles and the artist formerly known as Man City do.

literally about to post that word for word.

This team is legendary now amongst us, no matter what. We’ve set the bar so high that we’ll be the team to beat for a few years at least.

However these guys have the opportunity to be immortal and turn the history books on its head completely.

Yes please.
