The Euro's have been poor full stop so far, some of the teams are awful.

The quality of player nowadays is really poor compared to what is used to be.

Really not a fan of this "the defender played at it" rule, meaning the opposition player who was a couple of yards offside now gains an advantage...it's still the same phase of play, he was offside when the pass was made, so offside he should be.

Players are always told to play to the whistle so no way you can let the ball go to get the offside decision because even with VAR its no certainty it will be given. Forcing the defender to play the ball makes you active in the play and the officials should be blowing for offside.

36 group games to reduce 24 teams to 16. Absolute farce. 4 out of the 6 teams finishing 3rd will go through. Going to be some absolute dross in the knockouts.

Denmark captain Simon Kjaer has been hailed as a “hero” for his role in helping stabilise team-mate Christian Eriksen after he collapsed to the ground. The playmaker fell without anyone around during Denmark's Euro 2020 opener against Finland in Copenhagen.

Kjaer ran towards him, stabilised him on his back, cleared his airways and started CPR before medics arrived.

Doctors were quickly on the pitch and continued to perform CPR on Eriksen before he was carried off on a stretcher. It has been confirmed that Eriksen is awake and stable in hospital with Martin Schoots, Eriksen's agent, being told by the player's father that he "breathes and can speak. He's awake".

Any word on the cause of Eriksen collapsing yet? Heart attack?

I’m glad I wasn’t watching tbh.

Even if he makes a full recovery, I imagine whatever it was, it will be a 'doctor's orders' career ending episode, like that player from Bolton. He's made enough money from football to take a step back and put his health and well-being first.

Yeah I wondered what sort of protocols would be in place for situations like this. I suppose it depends on the outcome of his prognosis & the likelihood of it happening again.

It's an atrocious format. Hard to care about the group stage when only 1 third of the teams will be eliminated after all those games.

Scotland team who had previously decided to not to kneel. Hendo and Robbo have obvs had a chat. I feel for the England team here. They’ve no option but to keep going given the booing. It’s going to be a retraction.

Pickford starting in goal for England.

Skinner and Baddiel thrilled as they will get to re-release that fucking song again with the years of hurt updated to 56

Well.....we'll let you guys hope

Croatia certainly aren't the team of old, so I think a win here should be on the cards.

That's all we have, don't knock it

Why are the fans booing the Croatians all the time? What's the fucking point?

Probably not entirely unexpected to see Croatia come into it more, bright start by England, but the heat takes its toll
