He's nowhere near that level anymore. His knee injuries have robbed him of that lightning quick first step which he relied on. His shooting has never been great and he'd actually be much better if he stopped shooting so much and just passed the ball....you know, like a point guards supposed to do

Who wouldn't love Durant?

He's mental if he goes anywhere near The Nicks.

Salary cap is higher than expected this year. Also Curry is on a very team friendly deal for Golden State. Shudder to think what they'd be like with Durrant onboard.

Wouldn't be like NY to pay megabucks for a banged up former star

Can someone explain to me why this is being seen as a cowardly and unexpected move by him (ive seen a few mention it) isn't it just like someone in football going to Madrid or Barca? him just wanting to play for the best team

Pretty much. Mostly just people whinging because he didn't go to their team

He's also good friends with Green and Curry and thats whats sold it to him.

Going to play with your mates and (hopefully) win for less money than he'd get elsewhere. Or risk another season at OkC and then Westbrook leaving (which is likely)? I know what i'd do.

Ibaga went to Orlando?!? Seems a bit strange move for him. But then again NBA players are hardly in a position of individual choice

All be pointless for the rest if Durant clicks at the Warriors.

Horror injury. But. Nobody seems to notice. WTF...? The ref (umpire?) just steps over him. His teammates scatter.

Don't watch it if you are squeamish. No blood but crazy break.

Used to play basketball but don't really follow it any more - where does Kobe rank among Jordan, Lebron, Shaq, Magic, Kareem etc?

Shocking

The Players player, most fans would put Jordan up as the best ever but a load of players would have Bryant as the best they ever played against or with.

81 points in one game

RIP Black Mamba

Right up the top man. Legitimately one of the all time greats and a mentor to so many young players. He's basically this generations Jordan. Some players that had to play today visibly really struggled with it.

I absolutely hated him when he played, pretty much because he was so good. Shocked to the core by this news when i woke up.

The Last Dance

I've been catching up on Netflix with this series about the Bulls 97-98 season.

It's a really good insight into what made Michael Jordan the greatest player amongst other things.

It's interesting how the other greats viewed him, especially after the Dream Team.

And if you need a bit of weird, there's always Dennis Rodman.

If you like NBA, this is a great watch.

I'm not really into basketball, but I'm looking forward to it regardless.

All I really know of him and his career was passing knowledge - a GOAT for the Bulls, the shoes bearing his name, and that break to play baseball!

Just the GOAT full stop. Paved the way for all the rest. Totally untouchable.

That show made me get nostalgic and go back and youtube Jordan highlight reals...the stuff that man could do, it was almost slight of hand sometimes...if he hadn't taken two sabbaticals, he would be holding all the records, and for a long time to come...unless Zion can take the world by storm, that kid has so much grace for one so bulky!

This for me, my favourite is Magic but Jordan was a better player.

Zion will have to win titles as well as get the numbers to round it out. Lets see what his ambition and drive mount up to over 10 or so seasons. But I do accept titles aren't the only measure of greatness. That would make Robert Horry better than Magic, Kareem, Jordan and Pippen

I never knew how much Pippen got screwed over by the Bulls, on any other team he'd have been the main man.

He signed a multi year contract when he first joined the team. As he said on the show he needed the security.

Don't feel too bad for him as he ultimately made more than Jordan did in his NBA career. He got paid when he left Chicago.
