Don't worry Pep.

Sky have already framed the narrative, speak freely.

Forget this. It's irrelevant. Silva touched it first. End of conversation.

He did well not to take the bait, but his outbursts during and after the match has said everything it needed to. Being diplomatic now is irrelevant.

To be fair to Pep......he doesn't say too much wrong, despite Shreeves' attempts to get anything other than 'ask the ref'.
Usual pleasantries, bigging up his own team etc

Disappointing actually

Game finished 15 minutes ago and Sky are still bumping their gums about the penalty.

Kompany close to tears here

Well done. I forgot about this, loads worried about him in the build up but he was excellent. And without Matip, he's easily worth his place in his team.

Joe is miles off at the moment, obviously I'm very critical of him and think he's massively overrated but put that aside... You've got to play the players that are on form. Lovren deserves his place on form. I love this about Klopp.

That said, I did love Gomez' little cameo, pushing that Sterling prick out of his face

Its not a penalty if its deflected onto your arm from the arm of another player - its in the new rules :

"Players will be allowed extra leeway when it comes to ricocheted handballs, when the ball has deflected off their own head/body/foot or that of a nearby player".

ya I was worried, not going to say otherwise. He was solid, kept his concentration and put his body in the line - played v well

As Buzzo said he has form vs City

I thought City were good today. Sterling was utterly dominant it the last 10 minutes, but we dealt with him defensively. 9 points ahead is fantastic, but there's still 26 games to play. We've become a machine.

The newest thread on Bluemoon.

‘Is the game bent’?

These fuckers are landing not far off 100 points every season and they think the game is corrupt against them FFS.

Laughable.

Lovren's a very decent defender with the odd fuckup in him (a little more frequent than it should be) but he's still very good. An older, experienced head is just whats needed in games like this.

He gets an unfair amount of shit in my opinion, and I'm happy to have him in the squad.

You’d think we’d just scraped home one nil given the post match chat.

We went 3-0 up FFS.

There no scenario where we weren’t worthy winners.

What a win, tough game but I thought we deserved the win, clinical. Sky going on like City battered us, we had more shots on target. We purposely dropped deep last 15 which imo is the worst possible way to play against City but we coped well. Everything came down the left side as predicted behind Trent. Hendo did well until he came off, Ox had a mare when he came on so we had to put Joe on to help Trent.

Glorious looking at City's rage, absolutely glorious. We are in a great place but nowhere near done early doors and loads of potential banana skins. Loving us at the moment though and IMO we can go up another gear too. Thought Fab and Mo had great games, Mane worked his ass off too.

Beeb stats;

Man City manager Pep Guardiola has lost eight matches in all competitions against Jurgen Klopp - three more than he has against any other manager.

Guardiola has lost more away games at Anfield against Liverpool than he has at any other ground in all competitions (four defeats).

This is the fewest points Guardiola has won through his first 12 top-flight league matches of a season (25), and the first time he has been more than three points behind the top of the table at this stage of the season (nine points currently).

The maddest thing about that result is that it was actually pretty comfortable.

My heart rate was steady throughout.

We killed the game off during the first 30 of the second half, kept the ball really well. We were amazing during that phase.
