And that concludes my impression of Alan Shearer.

Or was it Jermaine Jenas?

Think its going to be a football lesson......probably 4 goals for us there.

Going to be such a reaction from the Villa defeat, you'll wish we got battered by 7 goals a long time ago. Or something.

Yeah. I think we will be fired up.

People forget. We were brilliant v Arsenal, and fairly brilliant v Chelsea.

That Villa game was a weird one. Perfect storm of bad attitude, soft early goal, few deflections and a lack of infield leadership.

Tough game tomorrow, but I’m optimistic.

Oddly I'd be very worried had Villa not happened, but that has to be the ultimate rocket up their arses. With Sadio, Henderson and Thiago (hopefully) back I think we'll be a different proposition. A bigger worry than their form for me is how Ancelotti has been a bit of a bogeyman for us with Napoli - he's good at nullifying us. But will he be as negative as usual with them playing so positively and having seen Leeds and Villa have success by going at us?

The biggest worry is the goalie. Same for them though.

Or shortest worry, in their case.

i think this will tell us a lot about whether the players have a hangover from 3 years of intensity or not.

Win or draw we are good, lose & i will start to worry

Biggest concerns are Trent from a defensive prospective and the nut job in between the sticks.

I really don't get this "Trent is weak defensively" stuff. Trent's fine. I'm more worried about whoever partners VVD (and I hope it's Fabinho) than Trent, and as you say, the nut job in between the sticks!

My biggest worry really is that Ancelotti has been very good at cancelling us out and turning the game into a coin-toss wherever he's been.

But objectively, we are a much better team than them, and would win tomorrow's game probably 7 or 8 times out of 10. We need a reaction after the Villa game too. I'm confident we'll see one.

Trent has been poor in the opening few games. Long term no issue whatsoever but he hasn't switched onto game mode for me. Villa was bad for everyone, but trent was not only naive in pushing up and getting caught he kept letting people cut inside on their preferred foot. It was schoolboy stuff. No witchunt, just observing that he's been pretty shit in the opening games.

Most likely alright. I hope you are correct about Fab in defense.

I wouldn't be too sad to see Gini rested too..... Perhaps for milner. Or even Jones (if available)

I just have a feeling that Adrian will fuck it up for us. They will shoot from within 30 yards at every opportunity and that clown will throw one in

Yeah, feel sick about the prospect of Adrian. Feels like we got away with that 8 game run with him in the side last season. Not that we were lucky, we weren't, and deserved to win all those games. I just can't see us sustaining him in the side for a similar run this time without him costing us vast amount of points.

I worry about the combination of Ancelotti and Adrian.

Stifle us all game, set up the 0-0 and then Adrian tries a cruyff turn on his line and Calvert-Lewin tackles it into the net.

Reckon it will be one of those games where our keeper won't have much to do except maybe a save or two. Get those right and see us through.

Otherwise I expect another clanger and wheels in motion to bring in another keeper from EFL to see out the rest of Alisson's injury.

I reckon we'll smash them 7-2 as a reverse of the Villa score.
