Mosconi Cup
Any body else think that nine ball pool is a sport you could *actually* be a professional at?
Another sport that builds on the USA, Europe rivalry.

What do you class as sport CJ? Physical exertion or competition?
Perhaps this is a different thread, but I think the Mosconi Cup is sport.
And it's a great sport to watch with beer. I'm flicking between this and the snooker final.
Yup, I'm living the dream.

All I know, wrestling isn't a sport.
Perhaps to qualify it needs to appear on the bbc sport website

It's important to feel the breeze between your finger tips when judging that perfect weighted throw.

I don't want to be a professional nine ball pool player now. My future is in bowls.

I know, too many variables in crown green.
I need to build up to it; no jumping in at the flat deep end.

You know me well.
I went to the Weber Cup not so long back; they've inspired me to practice on the Wii and take those railings down. Y'know, eventually.

I don't wanna get carried away, but I see my future developing like:
Flat > Crown Green > Ten-Pin (rails) > Ten-Pin > Nine Ball > Darts
The world is my oyster.

Speed Dominos is just a pipe dream.
Do you think I can just take the leap from darts to ESD?!
You're crazy man. Crazy.

Watched this for two minutes last night. So weird. I didn't know anyone actually watched pool. Who are all those people who turn up to watch live pool?
I see Earl Strickland is still around

They've had to turn his mic off.
'Get in the hole!'
'U. S. A!'
The atmosphere is bouncing.

I don't think I've watched the Mosconi Cup since the late great Sid Waddell was commentating on the not so great Earl the Pearl Strickland.

Some friends went to watch it.
I used to be good, but developed a blind spot in the centre of my vision in one eye and it's fucked my snooker/pool ability entirely. Couldn't pick an angle if my life depended on it.

little ciggie and a pint to celebrate, simpler times.
Its a shame none of the good snooker players have a crack at it anymore.
