From BBC gossip page:
Quote:
Barcelona are desperate for attacking reinforcements in January and are considering moves for Manchester United's 28-year-old England attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard and 34-year-old Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani.

I knew things at Barca were bad, ut I didn't think they were that bad

I watched the first half. Barca have got nothing. A shell of what they once were. How quickly they've declined is shocking. I don't think they'd do any better than top half in the Premier League these days.

They just need to take stock and hit the reset button.
Yet I still see them linked with big names. Will they ever learn?
They need to bin off the expensive fringe players like dembele and coutinho as soon as they can.
They still have some good young talent. Bit of patience required. Luckily their league isn't very strong and so they shouldn't drop too far.

One or two marquee signings is fine but they have an amazing youth setup - that is where they should be focussing.
I'm surprised they didn't bring in Erik ten Hag.

Not sure where to put this so here's as good as anywhere. I always thought he looked painfully thin in the face but didn't know about his early years

Shame that for me the lasting memory of him will be his cheating against Turkey to get a player sent off when Brazil were already 2-1 up.

1-1 with Sevilla against 10 men & again Coutinho can’t get off the bench.

Barca find £50m to sign Torres from City.
Nothing to see here.
I wonder where the "bank loan" originated from?

Probably signed a sponsership deal for something trivial...£50m to sponser the player's boot polish for a year, from some company owned by their main sponsers.

It will be a notional fee, but City gets first dibs on a number of players over a number of years

£ity signed him for €23M
He made 28 appearances for £ity & scored 9 goals
They then sell him for €55 million (plus conditional add-ons worth €10 million) a year later?!
WTF

Unprovable but the money will have come via intermediaries from the City owners to boost revenue/turnover.

Looks like they are trying to go nuts in the free transfer market - strongly linked to Lewandowski

Yep he's been amazing - just wonder why they need Lewandowski as well, unless (clutching at straws) they've been given an indication Salah's not possible any more

They have some serious talent coming up, they are just going through a bit of a transition. Auba looks like a great buy. Lewandowski is unreal but it stinks of Barca trying to stay relevant and get a big name. He'd probably still score a shit load of goals in La Liga in fariness.

Barcelona have no intention of selling Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, although they want the Manchester United target, 25, to agree to a pay cut. (AS - in Spanish)

You’d tell them to shove it up the ass wouldn’t you! Stay but take a pay cut
