From the BBC:
"The new owners also want to take a more strategic and data-led approach to their recruitment, such as is in place at clubs like Liverpool, and have pledged to invest £1.75bn in Chelsea over the next 10 years. "
How does that work?
175m a season? Thats against FFP

I don't really get the Sterling move tbh, they struggle for goals and he's not going to suddenly start banging them in for them!
Ake I get even less but they're struggling for centre backs and need to get some bodies in. Can't imagine City will let him go on the cheap though

Around 100m for the two of them - City buy Haaland, Phillips and Alvarez and still break even. I think they’ll but a full back and CB also for their normal spend.
Cucurella and Kounde/Bastoni the ones I’ve seen linked

With City selling Jesus and Torres as well they'll be breaking even after getting in Cucurella as well though.

Forgotten about Alvarez being picked up by them. Champ manager type transfers by them these days.

Seems like Raphina is on his way there - they are like a drunken sailor lashing money at everything. Sterling, Raphina and Havertz looks a good front 3
Lukaku gone, Ziyech going and Werner + Pulisic up in the air

will not be a bottomless pit like ROman though , So they better hope it works....
Really not convinced on Ake, and not sure a front 3 of Sterling, Raphina and Havertz will work fair to say all 3 are very streaky players

Ake is gash imo and I'm not convinced on Raphinha either.

They paid £40-50m for Ake, given how much he has played surely they can't get their money back on him. Sterling only has a year left on his contract so surely that limits his fee to something like we got for Mane? I know they will want a big fee to sell to another English club and the Chelsea seem loaded but surely £100m for the pair is too much?

He is a far better goal and assist getter from the flanks than any of their current wide men though.
Just had a peak at his previous five seasons for City and his goal tallies were 17, 14, 31, 25 and 23 in all comps.
He has gotten double figures in the PL five seasons in a row too.
To put his goals in context, Mane over the past five seasons for us has gotten 23, 16, 22, 26 and 20.
So probably a tier below Mane for goal getting from out wide which is still a pretty high level.

According to those numbers, he's scored more than Mane.

Think Mane over the course of his career in England took less games per goal than Sterling over the same period. Is why I put Sterling on the tier below but not buy much.
Gnarby at Byarn is going to make for a good pick up for someone though if he goes on a free next summer or for a reduced fee this summer. I don't buy into all the midia spin about his wage demands as we saw with both Mane and Salah that the media just makes up the numbers it wants to print.
Case in point being some of the crap rag tabloids running with Salah's new deal being over 400k a week before any bonus is applied.
But why Gnarby catches the eye is through his stats being excellent along with looking good when the eye test is applied. His goal getting is really good, similar to that of Mane, but his underlying stats for pressing, tracking back, secondary assists, positions taking on and off the ball etc are very very close to those of peak Mane for us.
Will be a really good get for some team.
