Used to go to watch the Snooker quite often when the LG Cup was held in Preston. It was never that expensive though. Think I paid about a tenner for a ticket to the opening session of the final.

Dont knock it, snookers a great day out.
Nothing like going to the crucible and having a few drinks and a meal afterwards.

Aha!!! Alan Partridge (or is it Rob Brydon im not sure, at times he looks like both), is 7-6 up against Judd Trump.
That'd be a huge upset!

Talking about hair, doesn't Mark Selby's look similar to Duncan Jenkins'?

Just watched Hendry batter Higgins ....12-4 to Hendry overnight.
Amazingly it's the first time they've ever played each other at the Crucible.

You get 8 frames in a session, so its not that bad considering a ticket to a footy game in the championship costs £30+.
Good luck with getting a ticket for the Cup final.

Iv just put a fiver on Williams at 18/1 who seems the best value bet, and a fiver on Trump at 3/1.
I was thinking of backing Hendry at 8/1 as im sure a lot of punters now will but in all honesty he hasn't really played that well. Its Higgins that's been poor.
With Selby out and Higgins practically out, the betting market has really opened up.
Latest odds: Robertson 3/1, Trump 3/1, O'Sullivan 9/2, Maguire 11/2, Hendry 8/1, Williams 18/1, Stevens 20/1, Day 22/1, Carter 28/1, Hawkins 35/1, Higginson 40/1, Jones 66/1, Cao 100/1 & Higgins 150/1.

Glad to see Higgins out. Rooting for Ronnie and Hendry to make the final.

Amazing snooker that, good sverving escape from Williams though.
Hendry did a good one last night aswell, putting the white in the jaw of the middle pocket.

Aye saw that, how on earth did that not go in
I like both these players, when Williams came through he was the best potter I'd ever seen.

Ronnie has so much talent, it's just wrong that he has less titles than Higgins.

Yep. Casually pulling out a left handed stun shot. It's a joke! Not sure I'd be able to hit the cue ball straight with my left hand.

I saw this match up years ago. Went to the evening session, my brother had been to the afternoon one. At the end of the session he rushes to the front (not a snooker fan and 10 years old or so), and shouts 'Rodney, Rodney, can I have your autograph'
