What a load of crap, would prefer to recall him in January if he hardly plays. We'll have more games in cups.

So, ahhh not that we can change it now, and it was a condition of sale to us it seems, but on the basis of what we saw playing up front on his own at the World Cup I'd have said Origi could be getting game time for us at the moment....

I agree. We badly need someone like him at the moment.
I've not been keeping tabs on him (apart from coming into this thread) but by the sounds of it it seems silly for him to be on the bench for them when he could be playing for us.

He does start for them (I think he's been sub once or twice). He's got three goals so far, which makes him their top goal scorer. I think in terms of his long term development it is the right decision for him to have another full season there.
He's only a kid and to ask him to come in and perform and goal in our current goal shy setup would probably have been counter productive for him.

I think it's a wise decision as well. He is not quite there yet from the games I've seen. Still to pass the 10 league goal mark for Lille, and while looking promising I also believe it's a bit much hoping for such a big goalscoring impact from him right now.
I think there is more reason in playing Borini a bit more this season giving him a chance next to Mario now Sturridge is injured...

He's exactly what we needed in Sturridge's absence.

He'll be back in January if Balo doesn't improve or Sturridge gets injured again. We'll pay a fee and make it happen.

"He is very gifted and talented", Kompany told AFP.
"Technically, he's a monster.
"More importantly, he is an outstanding worker in training. I see him working like crazy."
And for the Manchester City skipper, the sky really is the limit for Origi.
"If he continues in this way, in a few years he will be among the five or ten best strikers in the world."

Either Bosnia have tied down Origi very well, or that useless lump Lukaku is being a negative factor, or maybe just that Origi is Sterling-tired, but he's hardly had a look in against Bosnia.
Belgium just aren't feeding him anything. He's getting zero input from Mertens, Hazard and Bruyne.

i think Bruyne would be a good signing in the next year or two if the deal was there to be done. Fits into the "something to prove" category after not really getting a fair crack at Chelsea.
I think Brendan said something similar that Origi could be one of the top strikers in the world in the next few years as well.
If Balotelli can find some form and settles in at Liverpool, then i think he will be a good signing. I would trust Brendan to get the best out of him - and to be honest he could be Dr Steve's next project as well. If Balotelli and Sturridge form a good partnership, and we then add Origi next summer, then we are well stocked in the striker department - and probably well stocked for the next 5 years or so. That is massive.

He might go AWOL when he realises there's no where to run in Lille as they are in the shadow of Monaco forever. Him and The Studge would make a double impact.

Dont see the point in bringing this kid in now. Hardly going to make much of an impact. Especially as the bulk of our problems is our defense looking like it is straight out of the Conference.

Imagine if this lad was up top instead of a Balotelli........
Mario may be the better player, but this lad would fit us like a glove.
