Roberto Firmino
http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/late...irmino-signing
Quote:
Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim, subject to a medical which will take place immediately following the player's participation in Copa America 2015 for Brazil.
The 23-year-old has agreed a long-term contract with the club.
Firmino will arrive at Anfield following four-and-a-half seasons in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.
The forward made 151 appearances in league and cup for the German club, netting 47 goals, after joining them from Figueirense in December 2010.
To date, Firmino has nine caps and four goals for Brazil - including what proved to be the winner in his country's 2-1 victory over Venezuela in the Copa America on Sunday.

As long as one of them can regularly stick the ball in the net I don't care what they are called or where they are from. Hopefully this lad will up expectations again and dispel some of the negativity, good luck to him.

Seems too good to be true.
We're not buying him from some mid-table EPL side.
There's been no long drawn out transfer 'negotiations'.
No last minute bid from Spurs
Something not quite right here

Is he signed as a striker, or attacking midfielder though?

My excitement is tempered by the fact that we will never see the probing hands of Dr. Zaf over our new player's body.

Great signing, was very exciting to watch at Hoffenheim.
I think he is bought to be Sterlings replacement and play right of a central striker.

And there's a marquee signing Credit where it's due we've gone in and got this done quickly and by the looks of it convinced him to come to us over other teams that could offer him CL football.
This Copa America now needs to fuck off before he get's injured

Never seen him play. But there was a lot of people who really wanted us to sign him so I'm hopeful! And he's not Milner. It's great we're tying up deals early.

Great news to wake up to, massive statement from the club and great that such a player is willing to join. They aren't all one eyed for champions league. Get a top striker now too please.

I dont know if thats true.
Maybe we have been leaking and us as fans have been finding out more and more. Getting invested in these Sagas. But maybe this one wasnt leaked to the media in any way and was done as secretly as possible to fend off other clubs.
I like it though. Link a few days ago, signed today. Its great work from everyone at the club.

Reports are saying 29million - Sky are saying it's 21million + 8million add-ons. We should make a good amount through departures too. Time to say goodbye Sterling.

Of course we are leaking, it can't all be players agents and selling clubs. We shouldn't be though. This is how they all should be, silent until such time as the player is almost secured that it's impossible to keep quiet.

I can't believe it
Here's 30+ glorious pages on Red Cafe where United fans cream themselves silly over Firmino since March 2014 and all along assume he will be signing for them. LOL.

Fuck me. Bring in a good striker now and we are really going in the right direction. Great signing, even though I've seen him play once!

On the back of this signing I have knocked my brain's optimism mode back up by a couple of clicks.
Haven't seen this guy play yet, but what peeps are saying about him makes it sound like he might actually be a good. (See? The optimism mode is working already ).
