Ederson only 1 game left, so max he can get is 21. It would be shared, but technically he still wins it.

We need to rename this thread Alisson Becker - Grizzly Bear.

Big Shaq.
Just imagine where we'd be without that goal and that Napoli save. By the time he retires/leaves he could well deserve to be up there in the conversation as one of our greatest ever players along with the likes of Gerrard, Kenny, Barnes, Souness etc.

That's hilarious. In all seriousness though, he must be one of the best, if not the very best ever at one on ones. Great keeper but his work 1v1 is unheard of. The media don't even seem to notice it, it's like he does it so regularly without fuss it's just normal now.

It's definitely taken for granted and doesn't help that about 80% of them are discounted once the offside flag goes up.
Would love to see some proper analysis on the big saves he's made at key moments to give an idea of how many points/qualifications he's been instrumental in winning.

Commentators wank themselves off with the 'Schmeichel like' save line - fuck off, it's 'Alisson like' now - the bar has been raised.

What I love about him in that is that he doesn’t berate his players after he saves our ass. He just gets on with it.

Got to love the way that often in a 1-on-1 he takes a step or 2 backwards, inviting the forward to take an extra touch, and then sprints forwards the moment they do, cutting down the angle dramatically.

friend of mine is a goalkeeping coach for a kids team, and we were talking about his 1v1 and interestingly my friend says he rushes forward when the attached lifts his eyes to shoot - kills the space and smothers the player just as he's aiming
going back to watch him play seems likely
