Not quite sure it works like that. The franchises paid them to be there selling their hand-filled pies. They will have lost that revenue stream and will have big empty spaces not generating cash.

Corporate hospitality is where it'll really hurt football clubs in terms of match day revenue.

Though i can see that being back before stadiums are full.

Yes you will make some savings as you don't have to pay for policing stewarding etc. I'm no expert but I would imagine that the costs are fraction of that revenue as things like match tickets, programme sales etc are almost pure profit in this regard, if we were bringing in ~1m a game I would be surprised if matchday costs were more than 10% of that (100k)so even if we were saving all of that 100k, our loss in revenue would be 72m rather than 80m.

Just checked and Milner was 29/30 when we signed him and people thought he was too old. This is a mad deal from Arsenal to be honest.

Lol.

Arsenal's efforts to streamline and improve their operations has extended to an internal investigation into whether they overpaid for 72m club-record signing Nicolas Pepe.

Sources have told ESPN the deal has been re-examined as part of the wider recruitment overhaul which led to the departures of a host of scouts including Francis Cagigao, Brian McDermott and Brian Clark as well as several more senior employees based throughout Europe.

Pepe attracted interest from a number of Europe's top clubs after impressing in Ligue 1 but sources have told ESPN that individuals working for other clubs who became involved in preliminary talks with Lille were taken aback by the amount Arsenal eventually paid.

He (genuinely) starts talking about incidents that happened over 15 years ago as proof that there's corruption against them.
