They set a precedent with us with a 2 year ban on signing youngsters, so I suspect that's the route they will follow as the cases are more similar.

For anyone who likes a bit of La Liga, ITV has won the rights to show one match per week until the end of the season.

Simply not true.

We got handed a ban based on a rule that was introduced the summer previously by offering private education etc to one player.

Barcelona, Madrid and Chelsea were found guilty on multiple counts of signing young players. The latter 29, not sure about the numbers of the rest but multiple is key. All clubs got appeals rejected by CAS, Chelsea just went to FIFA i believe as there is precedence set with CAS rejecting the appeals. I expect FIFA to maybe reduce the fine but uphold the ban, this is something they have history of being very tight on.

So which previous case is the City one most similar to?

I didn't pay much attention to that at the time, but it confused me then and still does. What is wrong with offering a young player private education? Was it seen as an inducement?

By the end of those ten years that could look small.

We're currently looking in excess of 70m per season from our new deal next year. Given we broke all records for shirt sales last year and the brand is in good shape i reckon we'll get very close to united's if not more.

Not that anything will be done about it but it would make our win so much sweeter knowing we did it the RIGHT way. These are filthy cheats.

reading about it over the weekend it seems the opinion is UEFA will do nothing - if they try to do something Mansour will hire the best lawyers in the world and tie UEFA up for years. There is also a suspicion that FFP is unenforceable

It's ridiculous that lawyers should be able to stump UEFA's rulebook. It's sport FFS

They should be stripped of their titles, banned from Europe for 5 years, and docked 20 points for this season but sadly they will get a £5million fine or something equally meaningless

Should defo be a long ban. The Albanian side got a 10 year ban for match fixing, this is worse than fixing a few qualifiers so the Albanian mafia get some cash.

It's not like they'd even be missed anyway, they are a nothing club with no fans. Get rid of them.

They won't even receive a fine...In a few weeks UEFA, Premier League will come out with some ******** statement like there was 'insufficient evidence' to prove it.

They didn't get away with it last time though. They got a £49m fine, £32m suspended and this time it's much more serious. UEFA credibility and the whole point of FFP is on the line.

Throw the book at them and make an example of these fucking perennial cheats.
