The few long rangers gloss over his fitness I think Elliot can get his minutes - Shaq coming on was usually as a 10 or off the right in a 4-4-1-1 or 4-2-3-1

Knowing our history selling players to Italian sides it'll be a loan deal with the option to buy which they of course won't take up

Sooner he goes the better, wage thief. The man earns more than Robbo, TAA and Gomez. Not his fault but time to do one.

He's been a model squad player and often done what substitutes are supposed to when they come into a game - make an impact.

I'm sure he's helped the first team play better as part of the squad on training and giving competition.

If he goes I would hope we get a decent sum to reinvest otherwise I'd keep him in the squad unless he really wants to move and play more regularly.

Hasn't he said he wants to leave? That being the case I don't see him being here come the end of the window, it's now just about getting a decent fee.

It doesn't matter if he is nice or makes an impact when he comes on, like Lallana he is always fucking injured and I want more for 80k a week.

surprised there's not more teams in for him tbh. He'd be very handy for a lot of Prem sides

Big wages for the clubs that want him so we need to take a hit - I think our willingness to let him go cheaply means we are very keen to free up a spot to bring in someone else

Same for Divock apparently, he got a big pay rise when he signed after the CL final, so not easy to move them on.

He's a bargain at that price.

Even if he's sold at a loss, he's done the job he was bought for. Could have been more effective if he'd had better luck with injuries.

Confidence is an even bigger part of his game though as he plays in a creative and riskier way and he seemed devoid of this, the last few times he appeared off the bench. He'll do well in France.

Thank you Xherdan for your goals against Everton and Barcelona, and your hilarious hair. No matter how badly Mrs Venton cuts mine I know I am never above you, never below you, always with you. God speed my friend.

Switzerland playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri has completed a 9.5m move from Liverpool to Lyon.

The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 club, who say the deal is worth 6m euros plus a possible 5m euros in add-ons.

His performance against Barca was unreal, really stepped up.

Coming off the bench against united to score 2 as well.

Was a good signing in the end, I thought he might have potentially made his way into the first XI when he signed but he is a player who really needs consistent games and his searing pace had decreased a bit, never looked that comfortable in midfield for Klopp although he has had some cracking games there for Switzerland.

Unlucky with injuries too but despite all that, for 13 mil, he was good value.

Thinking back to the quality of the benches I usually saw from a Liverpool team growing up and he was a step up from that.

I wish him well, he never really got going here for several reasons, but he contributed when it mattered. One of the few proper characters in the game, good luck Shaq.

The stout pin filled a hole, but not perfectly. He had moments of absolute genius, some of his passing and set pieces were sublime. Good luck to him the future
