You don't have score goals to be a goal scorer..

I always thought heíd end up as a 10 - he lacks the pace and directness of those two but he is brilliant on the ball and a great passer

Yes it's interesting to see that from what I saw of those clips he seemed to be playing more in midfield than the right forward position that he has tended to play for us.

I'd like to see him develop his use of his right foot as well. Being more balanced would give him greater options especially in tight positions.

Excellent work! He must be Blackburn's youngest ever scorer with that goal?

Update: It does! The previous was Damien Duff at 18 years and 252 days.

Update update: Apparently not. According to the BBC he's the fourth-youngest goalscorer in their history..

Sometimes we forget how young he is. I think he has super potential and really doesn't look out of his league playing at any level. He has a fantastic eye for an unusual pass. I can see him playing Bobby's role ultimately

Bored in work, so too a wee nosey on Blackburn forum to see what they are saying.

Read he picked up the injury, but was taken off as a precaution, they hope it's not too serious. This was last night, so I guess things might change now they've had a chance to evaluate?

he is there for the season. Wonder if there is a release clause, would Jurgen consider recalling him in Jan?? With Jota, Salah, Mane all cooking on gas then it is hard to see where he would get game time. However, if Shaqiri and / or Origi decided to move on then surely bringing Elliot back would make sesne.

Even the guys on loan can't escape the injury curse
