Out of curiosity what is the FA/PL/UEFA position on how many players at a club have to be unavailable before games are postponed?

Are you suggesting they inflate the numbers in order to get a postponement and maybe be able to work on the player fitness and getting key players back from injury/isolation? What club would do that??

Very interesting match in store. Wolves more than capable of beating City again, but City could easily hammer them too, as they can with anybody. If Wolves put in a decent performance, they should at least take points of City, who hopefully will be a bit undercooked like United.

Yep. Let's hope City start cold and Wolves beat them.

No I'm not suggesting that, I am assuming that in light of the Covid situation this must have been discussed, this seemed an appropriate place to ask, as 3 first team players from one squad is quite high...

Yeah, but i doubt he's been back for long and you wouldn't risk him with his injuries last season.

It could well hurt them tonight though, that's for sure.

My response was facetious...altho it's the sort of thing their fanbase would love the club to do, just cos it would be sticking 2 fingers up to the authorities, and they are all for that.

(I judge their fanbase purely by what I see on Blue Moon )

...but Wolves are now without their best player... Jota

Here's to hoping Traore beasts the City defence and provides a few crosses for Jiminez to get on the end of...

Looks like City are signing a centre back - highly rated Ruben Dias from Benfica but Iíve no idea how good he is. I know heís not Messi.....

That's amazing. What a piece of business that was for us. Just imagine if he'd gone there. Would we have won the CL? The league? I dare say we wouldn't and they'd be cleaning up.

They only balked at the price tag once Virgil chose us. They’d have paid the £75m for sure Virgil didn’t want to go there.

It was definitely one of many seismic decisions that went our way. Since the day he arrived we’ve been a different team.

It was a pretty bold call of his to pick us given how dominant they were at the time and how....flaky we were. Took balls that, going there would've been a piss easy decision. He's a smart guy and I guess no one can resist Jurgen once you've been exposed to his charms.

I think the difference between Anfield and the Etihad influenced him too.
‘Who wouldn’t want to play for them?’ he said of the crowd as a visiting Southampton player.

That was the moment that I realised that Klopp was a huge pull for players. If you think, we’d won nothing, just sold our (arguable at the time) best player. It was a huge gamble.

I think winning with City and Pep looks pretty sterile, they don’t even enjoy it all that much and have this massive inferiority complex. The emotional move at the tine was to us. Thank god it paid off!

And a lovely outing to Blackpool. Fish and Chips and a ride on the Ferris wheel. How could anyone say no?

I donít remember exactly, but they dropped out, mainly because Virgil had made his mind up. We had to pay what we had to pay, but City were never a consideration, it didnít come down to money, because did it did - Virgil would be at Coty earning more money.

I think that is inflated slightly. It was 300 or 345m yesterday.

It's mental, and they're a mess still.

CBs
Laporte - Brilliant
Ake - Unproven but has potential
Dias - Unproven but has potential
Stones - Poor
Garcia - Poor and wants to leave
Otamendi - Liability

Fullbacks
Walker - Been a good player for them but 30 already
Mendy - Good at social media, not so good at football
Zinchenko - Decent offensively, suspect defensively
Cancelo - Decent offensively, suspect defensively
Angelino - So bad they loaned him out

Not much value for half a billion really

A lot of pressure on Ake and Dias to be an instant hit.

I watched that, and to me at least, it seemed that what Jermaine Jenas (or was it the other one?) was saying, and what they were showing us didn't quite tally.

It looked to me like Leicester effectively absorbed the pressure then pounced (and scored).

They did play some pretty neat stuff though under pressure.

Leicester had 28% possession, and 7 shots on goal - to get 5 goals from that is pretty hard to believe. One of the biggest 'smash and grabs' ever surely?

They weren't under the cosh though at the end, once they went 2-1 up they were pretty comfortable.

The penalties were hard to disagree with.

Don't think you can class scoring 5 goals as a smash n' grab.

Man City only had 5 shots on target all game. Given the possession (72%) they had and shots (16) that's bordering on criminal.

It definitely wasn't a "smash and grab". For the 37 minutes up until the Leicester pen City were definitely on top. Dominant in possession but not creating much.

Leicester had a predictable tactic of sitting deep and hitting on the counter attack. Getting the equaliser seemed to give them confidence and drain the confidence from City.

After that I think Leicester were deserved winners. City couldn't break them down and Leicester picked them off when they had the chance.

The scoreline probably did flatter Leicester, but it was a well earned tactical victory IMO.

City's front 3 were completely ineffective, bar that one strike from Mahrez. Sterling and Foden barely touched the ball in their revised roles.

KDB was City's only performer, but he had nobody to hit.

Smash and grab is a bit of an injustice to Leicester.
