I found this interesting when thinking about the wider context beyond Tottenham and Messi.

I'd say it was quite prophetic if it wasn't plainly obvious all along.

I still think there's a good chance Pochettino ends up at Man United.

3-4 placing is hotting up as well. They've got Arsenal on Saturday who are only 4 behind, Man U 5 behind and Chelsea with a game in hand 7 behind.

They've lost 8 games

How embarrassing

Watford and Wolves have lost only two more games than Spurs.

Has anyone ever completed a season without drawing a single game? They're 10 games from a record breaking season.

The short answer is that Spurs are Premier League record-breakers, Wouter, but only just. “Bolton previously held this title with a run of 28 games between March and December 2011,” writes James Clarke. “But in the wider context of English league history, Spurs have a long way to go yet. Twenty-nine clubs have had longer streaks without a draw at some point – and seven have gone more than 40 consecutive league games without a stalemate: Birmingham (43 games), Walsall (44), Leicester (44), Bradford Park Avenue (44), Stoke (46), Sunderland (46) and Aston Villa (51). Although it is probably worth noting that Sunderland’s is the most recent of these, coming comparatively recently in 1908-09. The slightly interesting quirk here is that five of these seven draw-less clubs are midlands teams.

Thanks Buzzo.

So in summary a really smart move by Trippier to throw that game rather than risk a costly equalizer destroying their chance at re-writing history.

He did drop the head in, but he was unsuccessful in telling his opponent.

I do think more may have been made of it if it wasn’t Harry Kane. Not sure if intent is worthy of a suspension? Story of Spurs season that they can’t even connect with a head it.

Hearing stadium cost is around GBP1.2 -1.4b - add in delays, its circa GBP1.7b.

Some exec lounges still not on line until next season. A banking group, who'd bought an option on a 5 year lease, just got offered a 8 year lease at the same price and cost as a 5 year lease. Boxes being heavily discounted.

So hands up who said Spurs will finish ahead of us after they fluked a few last minute winners?

Come on, you know who you are...

I think I said that they've finished above us consistently and that we shouldn't assume we'd finish above them.

Looks like they could crash out of the top 4, which even you must admit is a bit of a surprise
